04/12 – 2 Tim. 2:21

04/12          2 Timothy 2:21

“Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.”

Key Points:

  1. Holiness prepares us for God’s work – It makes us useful.
  2. We must cleanse ourselves – Personal responsibility is required.
  3. Being set apart brings purpose – God uses holy vessels.
  4. Holiness leads to readiness – We become equipped for His plans.

MAKE ME CLEAN

A vessel formed by holy hands,
Not for ruin, not for shame,
But shaped to be set apart,
For the work of heaven’s King.

If we cleanse what holds us back,
If we leave the past behind,
We will be fit for greater things,
Ready for the Master’s use.

Do not be filled with lesser things,
Do not be held by fleeting gain,
For the ones who yield to Him,
Will walk in paths prepared.

Refined like gold, purified,
A house prepared for glory’s call,
For holiness is more than words,
It is the life of those made new.

Make me clean, make me ready,
Let my heart be set apart,
For I am Yours, wholly Yours,
A vessel for Your name.
