10/19   Exodus 24:14
Moses told the other leaders, “Stay here and wait for us until we come back. If there are any problems while I am gone, consult with Aaron and Hur, who are here with you.”

COMMUNITY
Leaders are chosen by the Lord.  They are not there to stop us but to guide us.  Their responsibility is to provide vision and to facilitate our work.  Moses was concerned for Israel.  He was God’s chosen man.  When he appointed Aaron and Hur the command was the Israel wait until he came back and permit his appointed leaders to give guidance in handling problems.  Today everyone does what is right in their own eyes.  Few will follow the Lord.  Problems mount.  The community suffers.

10/20   Numbers 9:8
Moses answered, “Wait here until I have received instructions for you from the LORD.”

WAIT
It is against human nature to wait.  We want to be in charge, to know, to do, and to have.  The Holy Spirit calls us to be available and to wait upon the Lord.  When we face great trials we need to wait upon the Lord.  When we are struggling against the forces of this world we are to wait upon the Lord.  Fellowship with Jesus is the key to power and strength.  Wait upon the Lord until He arrives.

10/21   Psalm 5:3
Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.

TIME
Humans are time and space creatures.  The Lord is unlimited.  When we come to the Father we come as children.  We need direction and assurance.  The Lord gives us both but in His time.  We need to spend time with the Lord and to live our lives with expectancy.  We are beloved and the object of His attention.  Rejoice.  Again I say rejoice.

10/22   Psalm 27:14
Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.

COURAGE
Courage believes and responds.  We may have fears and doubts but the Lord gives us courage to live.  Do the next right thing.  Wait upon the Lord.

10/23   Psalm 37:7
Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.

SECURITY
We are sometimes overwhelmed by our limitations.  We don’t know, we don’t have or if only.  Life in Christ is about victory.  We live by faith with the sure knowledge that whatever limitation we have Jesus is able to accomplish His plan with our life.  Christ is able to create victory out of defeat.
