APR. 9 – HOLINESS

04/09                   1 Corinthians 3:17

“If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”

  1. We are God’s temple – Our bodies belong to Him.
  2. Holiness protects the temple – Sin defiles what is sacred.
  3. God takes holiness seriously – There are consequences for impurity.
  4. Holiness is about preservation – Keeping ourselves set apart for Him.

HOLINESS IS OUR CALL

(Verse 1)
A dwelling place not made with hands,
A temple for the King of kings,
Not built of stone, not shaped by man,
But filled with holy fire.

(Verse 2)
His presence rests where hearts are pure,
Where lives are set apart in Him,
No darkness stands where light remains,
No shame where grace abides.

(Verse 3)
The sacred ground is where He dwells,
A house not built for earthly gain,
For we are called His holy ones,
A temple held by love.

(Verse 4)
Do not destroy what He has claimed,
Do not defile what He has formed,
For He is near, for He is strong,
And He has made His home in us.

(Chorus)
We are the temple of the Lord,
A house for righteousness and peace,
Let every heart be filled with truth,
For holiness is our call.
