7 As for me, I look to the Lord for help.

and my God will certainly hear me.

HEAR

My Lord Jesus hears me.

He knows me and is always with me.

This life is impossible without Jesus.

Come Lord Jesus.

AUG. 26 – COL. 3:12-14

8/26            Colossians 3:12-14

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

JESUS

The Lord is daily shaping us to be more like Jesus.

We are His Holy People.

We will clothe ourselves with mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

This is a choice that we choose to do.

Keep short accounts with the Lord-repent quickly.

Forgive others when they sin against you.

Love one another.

GOLDEN RULE

You do and be exactly,

As you want others to do and be.

Whether you win a friend,

Or have no friend you become what you want to be.

Do first!

Be more like Jesus.

and a brother is born to help in time of need.

FRIEND

Be a friend to have a friend.

AUG. 23 – JOHN 15:12-13

8/23            John 15:12-13

12 This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. 13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

LOVE

Love one another.

AUG. 22 – 1 PETER 4:8-10

8/22            1 Peter 4:8-10

8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.

10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

SERVE

Care for others.

Care for them the way you would like someone to care for you.

Use your gifts to honor God and care for others.

Serving others is a gift we all can develop.

It honors God and increases our value.

Love one another.

AUG. 21 – ROMANS 12:10

8/21            Romans 12:10

10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

HUMILITY

Humility calls me to love others,

The way that I would like to be loved and cared for.

Humility doesn’t make me less,

It simply calls me to see others the way they see themselves.

People count with Jesus and they count with me.

AUG. 20 – PROV. 18:24

8/20            Proverbs 18:24

24 There are “friends” who destroy each other,
but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.

REAL

I’m searching for a real friend.

One that will stand by me in hard times.

A friend that will care for me even when I’m not friendly.

The truth is that to have a friend like that,

I must learn to be that kind of friend.

AUG. 19 – PROV. 17:9

8/19            Proverbs 17:9

9 Love prospers when a fault is forgiven,
but dwelling on it separates close friends.

FORGIVE

To forgive is divine.

Forgive those you don’t know.

Forgive those you love and forgive your enemies.

We need to live our life caring for others.

People we know and people we don’t know are valuable.

Everyone has value in God’s eyes.  We are God’s representative and are called to care for others.

AUG. 18 – PROV. 16:28

gossip separates the best of friends.

CAREFUL

Be careful how you live your life.

Speak plainly and truthfully.

Do not gossip.

Do not be sneaky and evil.

Live life with genuine care for others.
