8 In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.

BE

Change and be the person Jesus created you to be.  We are called to set aside anger and controversy.  We can be confident that Jesus will walk through the journey to wholeness with us.  Be filled with the Holy Spirit and sin not.  Jesus is Lord.

JUNE 28 – ROMANS 8:26

06/28          Romans 8:26

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.

LIMITED

We have limited knowledge but God will intercede for us and help us in the things we cannot even imagine.  Life is quick and painful and the Lord is here.  He will take care of us.  Trust in the Lord and He will do it.

JUNE 27 – LUKE 18:1

06/27          Luke 18:1

1 One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.

ALWAYS

Always pray.  Never quit.  Trust God.  Live strong because you belong to Him and He will listen to you and help you.  You are not alone.  Jesus is Lord.

JUNE 26 – LUKE 6:12

06/26          Luke 6:12

One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.

KEY
Prayer is key for our spiritual growth.  Standing fast before the onslaught of the powers and principalities of the air is critical for us.  Pray with all of your heart.  Pray sincerely.  Pray daily. Pray with the understanding that you will grow as you pray.  Prayer is part of the normal Christian life.

JUNE 25 – MATTHEW 7:11

06/25          Matthew 7:11

11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

ASK

We belong to Jesus.  God is our Father.  He is more concerned than we are about what we need each day.  He is the giver of every good and perfect gift.  God loves you.

JUNE 24 – MATTHEW 6:9-13

06/24          Matthew 6:9-13

9 Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. 10 May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today the food we need, 12 and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. 13 And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

PRAY

This model prayer is important for us.  It gives preeminence to God.  He is first.  He calls us to obedience and service.  It reminds us of our need for the Father to provide for us, forgive us, protect us and give us safety as we live each day.  The Lord God Almighty is for us and He will do what we need done to grow us in Jesus Christ.

JUNE 23 – PROVERBS 15:29

06/23          Proverbs 15:29

CLOSE

When we are in God’s family, He is always close to us.  He listens to us and if we listen, He will guide us.
