MAY 12 – 1 JOHN 1:8-10

05/12          1 John 1:8-10

8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

SINNER

I am a sinner.  I know my sin.  I confess it to the Lord.  He forgives me and helps me grow in Christlikeness.  Jesus is Lord.

5 Later, after they crossed to the other side of the lake, the disciples discovered they had forgotten to bring any bread. 6 “Watch out!” Jesus warned them. “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

EVIL
Evil substitutes things or self in place of God.  Whatever it is that proclaims to fix us is evil. Only Jesus can fix us.  He brings us into the presence of the Lord God Almighty.  He is Lord.  Bend the knee to the Son and give your life to Him.
