AUG. 19 – PROV. 17:9

8/19            Proverbs 17:9

9 Love prospers when a fault is forgiven,
but dwelling on it separates close friends.

FORGIVE

To forgive is divine.

Forgive those you don’t know.

Forgive those you love and forgive your enemies.

We need to live our life caring for others.

People we know and people we don’t know are valuable.

Everyone has value in God’s eyes.  We are God’s representative and are called to care for others.

AUG. 18 – PROV. 16:28

8/18            Proverbs 16:28

28 A troublemaker plants seeds of strife;
gossip separates the best of friends.

CAREFUL

Be careful how you live your life.

Speak plainly and truthfully.

Do not gossip.

Do not be sneaky and evil.

Live life with genuine care for others.

but you accuse me without any fear of the Almighty.

Love one another, even your enemies.

AUG. 16 – ECC. 4:9-10

8/16            Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.

TWO

Friends are important.

Truthfully, we cannot survive without friends.

Real friends that stand with us through thick and thin are hard to find.

When you make a real friend, you make sure you are a real friend.

Two can help each other.

Be worthy of friendship.

Be a good friend.

AUG. 15 – COL. 3:13

8/15        Colossians 3:13

13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

OVERLOOK

Overlook faults, slights, and unkindness.

Forgive other’s offensiveness.

Be kind.

Love one another.

Even your enemies.

AUG. 14 – 1 COR. 15:33

8/14        1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”

CAREFUL

Be careful the friends you make.

Be careful the people you befriend.

Be sure that bad company will corrupt you.

Make sure the crowd you run with are good folks.

AUG. 13 – 1 TH. 5:11

8/13        1 Thessalonians 5:11

11 So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.

DO

Do to others as you would have done to yourself.

Encourage.

Find the good things another does and compliment them.

Notice others and think and speak positive about them.

Do not criticize, condemn and complain.

AUG. 12 – EXODUS 15:2

8/12            Exodus 15:2

2 The Lord is my strength and my song;
    he has given me victory.
This is my God, and I will praise him—
my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

VICTORY

Jesus my strength,

And my victory.

He gives me a song in my heart,

Jesus loves me this I know!

Exalt Him, glorify Him, worship Him.

He is Lord, Creator, and my Savior!

AUG. 11 – 2 COR. 4:17-18

8/11            2 Corinthians 4:17-18

17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

SEE

We see little with our eyes.

The heart, the soul gives us the right perspective.

Trouble comes and goes.

But we must grab hold of the future,

Keeping our eyes on Jesus.

And His peace will enable us to keep moving forward.

Jesus is our strength.

Control your ego.

Be strong in the Lord.
