FEBRUARY 04 – JESUS

02/04               Matthew 11:10-11

John is the man to whom the Scriptures refer when they say, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, and he will prepare your way before you.’  11 “I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

JESUS

Christ has come.  John the Baptist cried out His coming and calling us to prepare.  Now we are to accept Jesus.  He is Lord.

FEBRUARY 03 – PROPHET

02/03               Matthew 11:7-9

As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began talking about him to the crowds. “What kind of man did you go into the wilderness to see? Was he a weak reed, swayed by every breath of wind?  8 Or were you expecting to see a man dressed in expensive clothes? No, people with expensive clothes live in palaces.  9 Were you looking for a prophet? Yes, and he is more than a prophet.

PROPHET

John shared that the Messiah was coming, and we should get ready.  Jesus has come and we are called to repent and turn to Him.  He will forgive our sin and cleanse us from unrighteousness.  He is Lord and He loves you.

FEBRUARY 02 – JOHN

02/02               Matthew 11:2-6

John the Baptist, who was in prison, heard about all the things the Messiah was doing. So he sent his disciples to ask Jesus, 3“Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?” 4Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— 5 the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.  6 And tell him, ‘God blesses those who do not turn away because of me. ’”

JOHN

John the Baptist came preaching  about the coming Messiah and He has come.  The Lord God came to live among us and we knew Him not.  I implore you to know Jesus.  Ask Him to forgive you of your sin and come into your life.  He will!

FEBRUARY 01 – FOCUS

02/01               Matthew 11:1

When Jesus had finished giving these instructions to his twelve disciples, he went out to teach and preach in towns throughout the region.

FOCUS

JESUS focused on proclaiming the Good News.  Follow Him.  Share the Good News everywhere you go.  Christ is alive.  He loves you.

JANUARY 31 – AWARE

01/31               Matthew 10:40

“Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me.  41 If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet. And if you receive righteous people because of their righteousness, you will be given a reward like theirs.  42 And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

AWARE

BE aware that service is an important part of the daily Christian life.  The Lord has called each and everyone of us to service.  Serve Him whom you cannot see by serving those you can see.  You help where you can.  Do the best you can.  Follow Jesus.

JANUARY 30 – SURRENDER

01/30               Matthew 10:39

If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.

SURRENDER

Surrender everything to Jesus.  Listen to His call.  Do what He says.  Follow Him and you will find what you are looking for in life.

JANUARY 29 – STOP

01/29               Matthew 10:38

If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.

STOP

Stop where you are.  Who are you following?  Follow Jesus.  Serve Him and obey Him.  Do not follow the World.

JANUARY 28 – FIRST

01/28               Matthew 10:37

“If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.

FIRST

JESUS is first.  Always first.  Forever first.  Follow Christ.  Serve Him.  Do not let the world and things of this world stand in your way.  Jesus is First.

JANUARY 27 – JOURNEY

01/27               Matthew 10:34-36

“Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword.  35 ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.  36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!’

JOURNEY

The journey of faith and service will be difficult.  Even your own family may oppose you.  Keep the faith.  Serve the Lord with gladness.

JANUARY 26 – TRUST

01/26               Matthew 10:32-33

“Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.  33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

TRUST

Trust the Lord.  Tell everyone you meet about what Jesus has done for you.
