09/26               Ephesians 3:9-10

9 I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. 10God’s purpose in all this was to use the church to display his wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 

CHURCH

Lord You are active in Your body the Church.  It is a local body of believers that have banded together because we need each other. We honor and glorify You in the local Church and HELP one another.  The Church is the bride of Christ.  It is Your representation on the Earth.   

09/25               Ephesians 3:7-8

7 By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News. 8 Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.

GRACE

Father Your grace is giving us what we need and cannot earn.  Remind me that when I am awake and when I am asleep Your grace is sufficient for me.  I want to know you better Lord.  Thank you for Your grace.

09/24               Ephesians 3:4 

4 As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.  5 God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets. 6 And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. 

BELONG

Whatever has happened in my life, I still belong Lord.  Christ brought me into Your family by His sacrifice and Your power-He forgave me and gave me a new heart and a new life.  Now I will belong to You forever.  Praise the name of the Lord for He saved me. 

09/23               Ephesians 3:1-3

1 When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles,

2 assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles.  3 As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. 

MYSTERY

The plan of God was a mystery that has been revealed in Jesus Christ.  Thank You Lord Jesus for coming to Earth, living a perfect life and dying to pay the price of my sin.  Then the Father raised You from the dead and seated You at His right hand where You are seated this very moment.  Thank you Lord for saving me and for saving my forever.  What a wonderful plan our Father has revealed.  A free gift that only requires my consent and belief. Jesus is Lord.  He is the Son of God. 

09/22               Psalm 119:169-176

169   O LORD listen to my cry; give me the discerning mind you promised.  170 Listen to my prayer; rescue me as you promised.  171 Let praise flow from my lips, for you have taught me your decrees.  172 Let my tongue sing about your word, for all your commands are right.  173 Give me a helping hand, for I have chosen to follow your commandments.  174 O LORD, I have longed for your rescue, and your instructions are my delight.  175 Let me live so I can praise you, and may your regulations help me.  176 I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands.

WANDERED

Lord in late life I have wandered, please come and find me.  I know that You will because I belong to You.  Thank you that our relationship is always lasting.  I will praise You Lord forever.  Thank you. 

09/21               Psalm 119:161-168

161 Powerful people harass me without cause, but my heart trembles only at your word.  162 I rejoice in your word like one who discovers a great treasure.  163 I hate and abhor all falsehood, but I love your instructions. 164 I will praise you seven times a day because all your regulations are just.  165 Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.  166 I long for your rescue, LORD, so I have obeyed your commands.  167 I have obeyed your laws, for I love them very much. 168 Yes, I obey your commandments and laws because you know everything I do.

PEACE

I love Your instructions Lord and find great peace as a result of following them.  You point me in the right direction.  I do not stumble or falter when I follow Your Words.  Life is hard, evil is persistent, but You Lord never, never fail me.  Thank you. 

09/20               Psalm 119:153-160

153 Look upon my suffering and rescue me, for I have not forgotten your instructions.  154 Argue my case; take my side! Protect my life as you promised.  155 The wicked are far from rescue, for they do not bother with your decrees.  156LORD, how great is your mercy; let me be revived by following your regulations.  157 Many persecute and trouble me, yet I have not swerved from your laws. 158 Seeing these traitors makes me sick at heart, because they care nothing for your word. 159 See how I love your commandments, LORD . Give back my life because of your unfailing love. 160 The very essence of your words is truth; all your just regulations will stand forever. 

RESCUE

Thank You for coming to my rescue Lord.  I was in dire need and You came.  You are truth and peace and joy and have set me upon a high rock.  I love you Lord.  You are love.  I am thankful. 

09/19               Psalm 119:145-152

145 I pray with all my heart; answer me, LORD ! I will obey your decrees.  146 I cry out to you; rescue me, that I may obey your laws.  147 I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words.  148 I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise.  149 In your faithful love, O LORD, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations.  150 Lawless people are coming to attack me; they live far from your instructions. 151 But you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.  152 I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever. 

REVIVED

Your Word is my joy and strength and I will do what You say.  You desire my obedience.  I desire Your presence.  I am revived when I follow what you say.  I am changed from a doubter to a believer.  Thank you Lord.  I want to say aloud THANK YOU LORD.  You are worthy of all honor and glory and praise. 

09/18               Psalm 119:137-144

137 O LORD, you are righteous, and your regulations are fair.  138 Your laws are perfect and completely trustworthy.  139 I am overwhelmed with indignation, for my enemies have disregarded your words.  140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested; that is why I love them so much. 141 I am insignificant and despised, but I don’t forget your commandments.  142 Your justice is eternal, and your instructions are perfectly true.  143 As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.  144Your laws are always right; help me to understand them so I may live. 

TESTED

You Lord are tested and true. I find joy in Your commands.  Help me to understand Your directions and follow Your narrow path.  Jesus is Lord and Lord of my life. 

09/17               Psalm 119:129-136

129 Your laws are wonderful. No wonder I obey them! 130 The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.  131 I pant with expectation, longing for your commands.  132 Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.  133 Guide my steps by your word, so I will not be overcome by evil.  134Ransom me from the oppression of evil people; then I can obey your commandments. 135 Look upon me with love; teach me your decrees.  136 Rivers of tears gush from my eyes because people disobey your instructions. 

SIMPLE

I am simple Lord and my hope is in You.  Your Word teaches me, encourages me and gives me wisdom.  I follow Your Word without any reservation.  I believe it.  I live it. Thank you Father for caring about me.
