06/24 Colossians 2:14
14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
COMPLETE
Our forgiveness is complete in Christ. His righteousness is exactly what we need to come into the presence of the Father. Jesus is Lord and He forgives us completely and forever. Once we are saved we are kept by Christ Himself.
06/23 Colossians 2:11-13
11 When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.
FREE
The gift of forgiveness is free but not cheap. Christ died to pay the price for our sin. Now He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us and at the same time is here with us. Lord forgive me of my sin. Come into my heart and save me. Bless you today. Be sure you have accepted Christ.
06/22 Colossians 2:10
10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
HIGHEST
Jesus is number one. He is the highest authority. When we come to Jesus we are coming to God’s everything. We start with Jesus, stay with Jesus and we will be with Him in eternity. Jesus is everything we need for light and life.
06/21 Colossians 2:9
9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
COMPLETE
If we know Jesus, we know the Father. Jesus is God in bodily form. This is hard for us to fully comprehend but it is the truth. God in Christ is seeking to save the lost, to bring them into His family. He offers forgiveness of sin and clothing in His righteousness in Christ. Jesus is Lord.
06/20 Colossians 2:8
8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.
REJECT
Reject the foolishness of the World and follow Christ. The Lord will reveal the wisdom you need for living as you spend time with Him. Don’t listen to the world and the things of the world-follow Jesus. He will lead you in the right way.
06/19 Colossians 2:7
7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
TIME
It takes time to grow in Christ. We were freed from darkness and the light gives us life. Spend time with Jesus and He will equip you to live your life and to help others come to know Him. We want to know Jesus better every day. Spend time with Him.
06/18 Colossians 2:6
6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him.
EMPTY
The world’s teachings are empty when compared with the directions the Lord gives us for life. Jesus is intimately involved in every aspect of our life and He gives us what we need to thrive and grow. Follow Him. He is Lord.
06/17 Colossians 2:4-5
4 I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments. 5 For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong.
CONNECTS
Jesus connects us with one another. He is the glue that holds all things together. He is the connector that connects us to His church, Himself, one another and to the Father. We live and breathe and move in His presence. He strengthens our faith. He walks with us as we work our salvation with fear and trembling.
06/16 Colossians 2:1-3
1 I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. 2 I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself. 3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
EVERYTHING
Jesus is God’s everything. Everything we need for Christian living and for thriving in our environment come from Jesus. HE is the One and only one that we need to follow. He gives us wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding. He leads us in the way we should go. Jesus is Lord. Follow Him.
06/15 Colossians 1:26-29
26 This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. 27 For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. 28 So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ. 29 That’s why I work and struggle so hard, depending on Christ’s mighty power that works within me.
SECRET
The secret-we are included. We will share in the kingdom to come and also right now. Jesus is Lord and we are part of His family. Jesus lives in you and rejoices to share His mighty power for living with you. Surrender and obey are strong elements of a Christ like life.
