5/29 John 14:27
27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
FEAR
Jesus conquers our fear. Focus your mind and heart on Christ and He will give you peace that passes understanding and it will set your soul, your heart at ease. Jesus is our peace.
5/28 John 16:33
33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
LISTEN
When you come to Jesus, listen to what He says. He will give you wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding and guide you in the way you should go. Jesus is Lord and He loves you.
5/27 Matthew 11:28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
REST
When you are overwhelmed come to Jesus. He will hear your need and fix whatever needs to be fixed. He will not ignore you nor will He forget about you. Jesus cares for you.
5/26 James 2:14-24
14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? 17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. 18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” 19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? 21Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.23 And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God. 24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
LIVE
Live like a Christian-a Christ follower. Those who follow Jesus live as He calls us to live. They love the Lord with all their heart and their brother or sister like they would like to be loved. Jesus cares about people and so should we His followers.
5/25 Isaiah 55:12-13
12 I will make your towers of sparkling rubies, your gates of shining gems, and your walls of precious stones. 13 I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace.
PEACE
Peace is a valuable gift especially for those overwhelmed with fear and anxiety about everything. We need the Lord. When we have Jesus we have the most important thing that we need. Jesus is Lord. Seek to know Him.
5/24 Isaiah 54:10
10 For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you.
PROMISE
The Lord promises you, He will be with you, and never leave you because He loves you and will never, ever forget you.
5/23 Isaiah 26:12
12 LORD, you will grant us peace; all we have accomplished is really from you.
PRAYER
This is a prayer, a promise to claim and a valuable remembrance. We belong to Jesus and nothing can separate us from Him. Be of good faith, when you are struggling remember that the Lord is there with you and rejoices in giving you His strength. Stay the course. Fight the good fight of faith. The victory has already been won.
5/22 Isaiah 26:3
3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
JESUS
Focus your mind, your heart and your life on Jesus. The world will not be able to destroy and you will find real peace and joy in your life. Trust Jesus and keep focused on Him. He is Lord and God and He will see you through.
5/21 Isaiah 9:6
6 For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
JESUS
Foretold and forthtold. He came on a mission to bring you life. Have you met Jesus? You can. All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you of your sin, come into your life and give you new birth into the Kingdom of God. He will if you ask.
5/20 Psalm 119:165
165 Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.
FOLLOW
Do what the Lord says. Listen to His instructions and you will have peace and will not stumble. Follow Him in all that you do. Jesus is Lord.
