08/25               2 Chronicles 19:9

9 These were his instructions to them: “You must always act in the fear of the LORD, with faithfulness and an undivided heart.

FOCUS

Our life must focus on Jesus.  Only when we do that do we listen and obey His Word.  We know who the Lord is and what the Lord can do and in humility we bend the knee to Him and with our actions indicate Lord I will follow you. Without this humility of life we will too often go our own way and tragically our lifestyle will suffer because we will quickly fall into worldly ways.  Jesus is God’s everything and He will lead us in the right way.  Follow Him. 

08/24               1 Samuel 12:24

24 But be sure to fear the LORD and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you. 

FEAR

Yes, this simply means that we are to be in a position of awe and fear and respect for our Holy Father God.  He knows everything you do.  He is intimately aware of everything you think.  He knows what you will say before there is a word on your tongue.  We need to let the Lord change us, help us to obey and by choice do those things that honor and glorify HIM.  Trust and obey is the childlike response required of us to grow. 

08/23               Luke 17:5

5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.” 

HELP

We need help to grow our faith.  Jesus offers that help.  Ask Him to help you grow your faith.  As you read God’s Word you will discover Jesus guiding you into the things you need to do to grow.  Jesus help me grow my faith.  He will do it. 

08/22               1 Corinthians 13:13

13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

LOVE

Jesus loves you.  His direction for us is that we are to love one another.  Love is the pinnacle of our relationship with Jesus and each other. Love is critical.  Without love we will not grow in Christ-likeness. 

08/21               Galatians 2:20

20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 

LIFE

I live my life under the direction of Jesus Christ. Everything I do I check with Him. I spend time with Him.  I read the Bible and claim His promises for me. Then one day I will pass from this life to the next and Jesus will go with me and meet me face to face in eternity. What an amazing day that will be. Jesus is Lord. 

08/20               Galatians 2:16

16 Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” 

BELIEVE

Believe in Jesus-that He died on the Cross providing the payment for your sin and that the Father by His power raised Jesus from the dead. You will be saved by grace through faith in Jesus.  Believe in Him.  Do not follow the world.  Jesus saves.   

08/19               2 Timothy 4:7

7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. 

AMEN

I want to end my life saying as Paul said I’ve done good.  My focus was and is Jesus.  My life represented Him well.  Christ is my Lord and Savior and my life mirrors that belief. Then we finish our course and step into eternity with Jesus.  Jesus is God’s everything. 

08/18               Mark 9:23

23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” 

YES

Yes, you can live a faithful, exciting and joyous life.  It requires that you develop your faith in Jesus and live with the confidence that He is with you.  The Bible, prayer times and quiet times are required, or the World will run over you.  Oh, and you can’t live partly in the world and partly in Christ.  Choose who you will follow and you will constantly be changing to become more like Jesus. 

08/17               Psalm 46:10

10 “Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” 

WILL

Man rails and screams at God.  You aren’t there man says.  God is there and one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.  Do not let the World ding your faith.  Believe in the Lord Jesus and He will walk with you every day of your life and be there to carry you into eternity when you pass away from this life.  Jesus is Lord. 

08/16               John 8:24

24 That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.” 

BELIEVE

Believe in Jesus and live.  This is a critical decision that we each must make.  Jesus is Lord and when we believe in Him we are cleansed of our unrighteousness and given new life in Christ Jesus.  Believe in Jesus and live.
