Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom.
OBEY
The Lord calls us to obey so that it will go well with us. He knows the end from the beginning and He knows the way we should go for our benefit. Obey the Lord, do as He says and you will be on the right path for your best good. Jesus loves you.
09/27 Psalm 128:1
1 How joyful are those who fear the LORD — all who follow his ways!
COMFORT
There is great comfort in living life under the Lord’s leadership. We respect and reverence Him for He is so wonderful. He is so mighty and great. His wisdom is beyond anything we can think. He provides for us. Jesus loves us. Follow Him.
09/26 Ezekiel 36:27
27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.
ALIVE
Jesus is alive in us. He guides us moment by moment. He knows where we should go and will lead us there. His call to us is surrender and to be obedient. Listen, be and do. Be busy about our master’s business.
09/25 Hebrews 13:20-21
20 Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— 21 may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
WONDERFUL
The Father is wonderful. He is always caring for us and has included us in His Kingdom. We belong to Him and He will never let us go. Jesus is Lord and He is a great and mighty Lord worthy of all of our honor and praise. Praise the name of the Lord. Praise His name.
09/24 Proverbs 4:27
27 Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.
STOP
We are called to stop doing evil. We must be alert as we live out our Christian beliefs. If I am alert, I will have the Word of God stored in my heart and when that old deceiver, trickster Satan comes along I will recognize it and quickly speed away from evil and follow the Lord.
09/23 Psalm 119:60
60 I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.
NOW
Obedience is an action we take right now. It isn’t tomorrow or later, it is always now. Hurry to obey the Lord. Obey Him immediately. The end result will be constant growth in Christ. The Lord is good and is always seeking our best good therefore we are called to obedience.
09/22 John 15:8
8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
FRUIT
Fruit is the result of sharing the Gospel with others, them hearing the Word of Salvation and accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior-the Holy Spirit is the One who seals the Gospel into the lives of others. We don’t save others, we just share the Good News and the Holy Spirit brings life. We are to be busy spreading the seed of the Gospel-the Good News.
09/21 Joshua 24:15
15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.”
CHOOSE
No fence sitters in the kingdom of God. Choose today who you will be, a Christ follower alive and well on planet Earth or a world follower dead in their trespasses and sin. We can only be one or the other never both. Jesus is Lord.
09/20 James 2:17
17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
FAITH
Faith is step one, action is step two, peace and joy are overarching both. When we have faith we act upon that faith. The Lord is at work and He is active. He calls us to live out our beliefs.
09/19 Psalm 37:23
23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
PRECIOUS
We are precious to the Lord. He is interested in every word we speak, every thought we think and every action we take. He will give us wisdom and understanding if we will ask Him. He wants to be intimately involved in our lives. Jesus is Lord and is Lord of all.
