12/12               John 1:14

14 So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

SEEN

If we have a relationship with Jesus we have seen Him.  Maybe in our mind’s eye or in a vision or in a dream but for sure we have a relationship with the living Lord Jesus when we have asked for forgiveness and let Him have control of our life.  He is Lord and He will give us the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding that we need to live a Godly life on a daily basis.  His Word for us is always in the now. 

12/11               Isaiah 11:1

1 Out of the stump of David’s family will grow a shoot— yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root. 

VICTORY

Our Triune God before the foundation of the world had a plan for our salvation.  Jesus is God’s plan and He is the only way to the Father. 

12/10               Isaiah 7:14

14 All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’). 

JESUS

Born in Bethlehem.  He lived a perfect life.  He died a perfect death.  Raised from the dead by the power of God, Jesus is alive.  He defeated death.  He paid the price for our forgiveness.  Jesus is Lord of all.  Praise God from whom all blessings come. 

12/09               1 Thessalonians 5:18

18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

TODAY

We can always think we will be thankful tomorrow but the Word tells us to be thankful today.  We can only live now and what is going on in our life now is exactly what we have to be thankful. 

12/08               Romans 16:6

6 Give my greetings to Mary, who has worked so hard for your benefit. 

PEOPLE

People count with the Lord.  You count.  I count.  We may not be kings or queens but we count with the Lord Jesus Christ.  Jesus is concerned about everything that happens in our life.  He is seeking our best good.  Jesus loves you. 

12/07               Jeremiah 33:11

11the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the LORD . They will sing, ‘Give thanks to the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, for the LORD is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the LORD. 

CONTROL

Let Jesus have control of your life.  He will give you what you need to lead a fruitful and joyous life.  Thank the Lord for He is good and He is good to us. 

12/06               Isaiah 12:4

4 In that wonderful day you will sing: “Thank the LORD ! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! 

MIGHTY
We serve a mighty God.  His power is supreme.  His knowledge is limitless.  His love is eternal.  What a mighty God we serve.  He stepped into our world as a man, living under the same restraints as we live under and by faith trusted God the Father.  He walked resolutely to the Cross dying for our sin.  Resurrected by the power of God, He is alive and does this very moment partner with each one of us so that we too can experience that resurrection power of the Father in our own life.  Praise the Lord, Jesus is alive and present in our life.

12/05               Psalm 106:1

1 Praise the LORD ! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 

GRATITUDE

Start where you are with what you have.  Begin the process of gratitude to the Lord Jesus for everything you have and are.  You will experience great strength and freedom as you enumerate the powerful activity of God in your life and the way that the Lord will use you where you are.  Our life is hidden in Christ with God and we have every right to praise and honor Him. 

12/04               Psalm 100:4

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. 

PRESENCE

We live in the presence of the Living Lord Jesus.  We have access to Him 24/7.  He knows who we are.  Jesus knows all about us.  He will never leave us.  We belong to Him.  He has His hand upon us and is here with us.  Jesus is Lord. 

12/03               Psalm 28:7

7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. 

JOY

We can claim joy in our life.  We know who we belong to and where we are going.  However difficult this world we know that we are this very moment a member of God’s household, that He loves us and will never, no never, not ever leave us.  That is real joy.
