10/28               Deuteronomy 11:13

13 “If you carefully obey the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the LORD your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, 

ATTENTION

We need to pay attention to the way we live.  As we read God’s Word we need to make sure that our lifestyle is not in conflict with the way that the Lord says we should live.  Be careful because evil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour every day.  Serve the Lord with gladness and walk in His ways.  Let the Lord guide you each day.  Spend time with Him and seek His direction. 

10/27               Joshua 24:14-15

14 “So fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD alone. 15 But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD .” 

CHOICE

We choose.  We choose salvation.  We choose the lifestyle we will lead.  Life is a choice.  I will serve the Lord.  I choose Jesus.  Through all of life’s ups and downs I choose the Lord. 

10/26               Micah 4:5

5 Though the nations around us follow their idols, we will follow the LORD our God forever and ever. 

FOCUS

We need to focus on the things of God.  His Word.  Our relationship with Him.  We need to seek to know Him better each day.  Jesus is Lord.  The world is not. 

10/25               1 Peter 4:19
19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

NEVER
Jesus will never, never, never fail you.  Trust in Him and do the next right thing.  Jesus will never fail you. 

10/24               Hebrews 10:23

23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise. 

YES

God is a God of YES.  He is seeking our best good and He knows what we need.  When we get close to Him and are living in obedience to Him His Word to us is YES.  Every thought that the Lord has towards you is a thought for good.  Jesus is Lord. 

10/23               Hebrews 4:14-16

14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

GO

Go to the Lord.  Seek His face, claim His presence and pray boldly for His mercy and grace.  Ask Him to forgive and direct you.  Be with Him so that you will know Him.  Jesus is Lord. 

10/22               1 Corinthians 10:12-13

12 If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 

STAND

Stand in the Lord.  Stand fast and wait upon Him for our Lord is faithful.  He will see you through.  He will make things work together for good and you will never be alone.  Jesus is our Lord. 

10/21               1 Samuel 2:35

35 “Then I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire. I will establish his family, and they will be priests to my anointed kings forever. 

HOLY

All that the Lord does is Holy.  He is a Holy God.  He is the One who knows the end from the beginning.  Jesus our faithful Priest is like no other.  He is our Lord and Savior always interceding for us at the right hand of the Father.  Jesus is Holy-He is Lord. 

10/20               1 Samuel 2:2

2 No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

ONLY

Our God is the only God.  No one else like Him.  No other God but God. 

10/19               Deuteronomy 7:9

9 Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

OBEY

If you love Jesus you will obey Him.  If you disobey Jesus you don’t love Him.  Disobedience is our nature.  Therefore, we are called to repent and change our ways.  Obey Him.
