09/18 Matthew 20:16
16 “So those who are last now will be first then, and those who are first will be last.”
VALUE
God values people. He died to save us from our sin. If we do not value the things the Lord values our value system is upside down. Today look at the things Jesus values-He values people. Go thou and do likewise.
09/17 Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
JESUS
Jesus, the name above all other, is the only One who can save us. Jesus is Lord and we bow to Him in faith, service and loyalty. It is not my way but His way.
09/16 Matthew 7:14
14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
WAY
There is a way that leads to life and it is Jesus Christ. Any other way leads to death.
09/15 Matthew 7:12
12 “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
RESPECT
People count with Jesus. My goal is to become more like Jesus. People count with me.
09/14 John 3:31-35
31 “He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. We are of the earth, and we speak of earthly things, but he has come from heaven and is greater than anyone else. 32 He testifies about what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them! 33 Anyone who accepts his testimony can affirm that God is true. 34 For he is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit. 35 The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands.
WORSHIP
Worship Jesus. He is God’s everything.
09/13 Jeremiah 1:5
5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
GOD
The Lord God Almighty knows all things-the end from the beginning. Nothing is hidden from Him. Know the Lord. Go to Him with everything. You will be wiser and better equipped and able to lead a Godly life.
09/12 James 4:10
10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
CHOICE
We are called to humble ourself before the Lord. It is our choice. Will I look at myself, knowing my value to Jesus and willingly bend the knee to the Father or will I seek to live the way that sinful, lost mankind lives? Choose the way you will live.
09/11 James 4:7-8
7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.
CHANGE
Stand fast for the Lord is here. Refuse the evil one’s approach. Constantly be in conversation with Jesus asking Him the way you should go and what you should do. Search His Word diligently and spend time with Him. Jesus will see you through every challenge you face. He will never desert you.
09/10 James 3:17
17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.
WISDOM
I need wisdom to live a Christ like life. I cannot get this wisdom from the world. It is not in the next self-help books. God’s wisdom is different from man’s wisdom. His wisdom says to be long-suffering, to show our value of others, to care for the orphan and widow and to listen to others as they voice their pain and suffering. We are called to be merciful. There is the need for good works. We are to live a life of genuineness, sincerity and unbiased care for others. People count with the Lord. When the Lord is first and people count with us we are on the road to wisdom. Follow Jesus, help people.
09/09 James 3:13
13 If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.
PROVE
If I am to prove that I am wise I will fear God and change the way I act. I will recognize that the Lord is here and is watching everything I do. He is aware of my failures and my victories and continues to love me and have good thoughts towards me.
