OCTOBER 21 – HOLY

10/21               1 Samuel 2:35

35 “Then I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire. I will establish his family, and they will be priests to my anointed kings forever.

HOLY

All that the Lord does is Holy.  He is a Holy God.  He is the One who knows the end from the beginning.  Jesus our faithful Priest is like no other.  He is our Lord and Savior always interceding for us at the right hand of the Father.  Jesus is Holy-He is Lord.

OCTOBER 20 – ONLY

10/20               1 Samuel 2:2

2 No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

ONLY

Our God is the only God.  No one else like Him.  No other God but God.

OCTOBER 19 – OBEY

10/19               Deuteronomy 7:9

9 Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands.

OBEY

If you love Jesus you will obey Him.  If you disobey Jesus you don’t love Him.  Disobedience is our nature.  Therefore, we are called to repent and change our ways.  Obey Him.

OCTOBER 18 – JESUS

10/18               Ephesians 5:22-25

22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. 25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her

JESUS

Jesus died for you therefore you should be willing to die for your loved ones but more than that you should be willing to live for your loved ones and treat them like Jesus treats you.

Submit yourself under the mighty hand of God and be the Christ like leader you are called to be.

OCTOBER 17 – FAITHFUL

10/17               Ephesians 1:1

1 This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I am writing to God’s holy people in Ephesus, who are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.

FAITHFUL

Faithful followers are what we are called.  That presumes that we are obedient to the Lord.  If we are disobedient we are unfaithful.  The Lord is always faithful.  Can we be anything less?

OCTOBER 16 – EVERY

10/16               Ezekiel 16:8

8 And when I passed by again, I saw that you were old enough for love. So I wrapped my cloak around you to cover your nakedness and declared my marriage vows. I made a covenant with you, says the Sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

EVERY

Every day is a good day.  Jesus loves you.  He has saved you and brought you into the family of God.  He will never ever leave you.  Jesus is Lord.

OCTOBER 15 – SHOUT

10/15               Jeremiah 2:2

2 “Go and shout this message to Jerusalem. This is what the LORD says: “I remember how eager you were to please me as a young bride long ago, how you loved me and followed me even through the barren wilderness.

SHOUT

Shout to all that Jesus loves you.  He saves you.  He builds you up and will never forsake you.  He is the Lord Almighty, Savior and Friend.  Shout, Jesus is Lord.

OCTOBER 14 – CREATOR

10/14               Isaiah 54:5

5 For your Creator will be your husband; the LORD of Heaven’s Armies is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.

CREATOR

He made us.  He loves us.  He seeks our best good.  Sit with Him and learn about Him.  Ask Jesus to give you the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding that you need to serve him.  He is Lord of all.

OCTOBER 13 – LORD

10/13               Hosea 2:20

20 I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as the LORD.

LORD

Lord, your care and concern for me are amazing.  I cannot comprehend how One who knows all about me loves me but You do and I am grateful.  Teach me to be faithful.  Teach me how to be usable and useful.

OCTOBER 12 – JUDGES

10/12               Isaiah 1:26

26 Then I will give you good judges again and wise counselors like you used to have. Then Jerusalem will again be called the Home of Justice and the Faithful City.”

JUDGES

Good judges are important in a community.  People need to be treated fairly.  Evil escalates quickly when justice is denied.  We want the Lord involved with us in our society so that our judges will be impartial and committed to being fair.  People need Jesus.
