08/29               Zechariah 4:6

6 Then he said to me, “This is what the LORD says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.

SPIRIT

The Spirit of God is actively pursuing the goals of the Father.  He is all the same characteristics, indeed He, Jesus and the Father are one.  Hard for us to comprehend that but in fact the Lord God Almighty is in control and He decides what people do or don’t do.  He raises up on group and destroys another.  The Fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom. 

08/28               Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

WISDOM

To fear God is true wisdom.  We will walk in understanding and be equipped to forsake evil.  Our Lord is a mighty God and is able to save us unto forever. 

08/27               Mark 12:30

30 And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 

ALL

The operative word is ALL.  Every part of our being, the focus of our moment by moment experience is that the Lord Jesus is God’s everything.  He is our salvation.  He is our peace and joy.  Jesus will never leave us therefore I can say “EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY”

08/26               1 Chronicles 29:11

11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O LORD, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. 

ADORE

I think about the Lord all the time.  I am so overwhelmed at times by His great love.  His care and attention to my needs humbles me.  Our mighty Lord Jesus is trustworthy, tried and true.  He loves you. 

08/25               Ephesians 6:10

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

BE

We are to be His children.  Jesus leads us and is intimately involved in our life.  Our responsibility is to let Him.  Surrender.  Walk in Him.  Be. 

08/24               Hebrews 4:12-13

12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.  13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

LORD

Jesus is God.  He is the only way to the Father.  He is Lord, Lord of all!  All praise, honor and glory to HIM!

08/23               Habakkuk 3:18-19

18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! 19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.

CONFIDENT

I can be confident about my life.  Jesus brings peace and joy as His gift for my faithfulness.  Jesus directs our steps and guides us into the right way.  Eternal life is now and we live it together with Jesus. 

08/22               Jeremiah 32:17

17“O Sovereign LORD ! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! 

ANYTHING

Is there anything too hard for God?  No!  Our Sovereign Lord is more than able to deal with every up and down of our life.  Jesus is Lord. 

08/21               1 Corinthians 16:13-14

13 Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. 14 And do everything with love.

BE

We are called to live and that is facilitated if we first live in God’s presence: BE.  Until we can Be we cannot do.  Too many want to do and not be.  The truth is that if you cannot be a member of God’s family first and get to know Him and follow Him you will not survive when all you want to do is to do.  We can’t do a do until we be a be!

08/20               Psalm 59:16

16 But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress. 

JOY

Joy comes in the morning when we begin with the Lord.  Jesus seeks us immediately.  We surrender and rejoice for we belong to Him and He belongs to us.  We are a team and He has called each one of us to ministry in His creation.
