MARCH 11 – WORLD

03/11          Luke 22:63-65

The guards in charge of Jesus began mocking and beating him. 64 They blindfolded him and said, “Prophesy to us! Who hit you that time?” 65 And they hurled all sorts of terrible insults at him.

WORLD
The world always ridicules Jesus.  It will ridicule you too.  Remember that you cannot turn to the world for direction in following Jesus.  Only Jesus can give you the proper direction.

MARCH 10 – DENIED

03/10          Luke 22:54-62
So they arrested him and led him to the high priest’s home. And Peter followed at a distance. 55 The guards lit a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat around it, and Peter joined them there. 56 A servant girl noticed him in the firelight and began staring at him. Finally she said, “This man was one of Jesus’ followers!” 57 But Peter denied it. “Woman,” he said, “I don’t even know him!” 58 After a while someone else looked at him and said, “You must be one of them!” “No, man, I’m not!” Peter retorted. 59 About an hour later someone else insisted, “This must be one of them, because he is a Galilean, too.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” 62 And Peter left the courtyard, weeping bitterly.

DENIED
Peter denied the Lord.  Jesus said he would.  You will deny Jesus somewhere someday.  Remember that Jesus loves you.  Jesus cares for you and will never deny you before the Father.  Trust Jesus.

MARCH 9 – EVIL

03/09          Luke 22:52-53
Then Jesus spoke to the leading priests, the captains of the Temple guard, and the elders who had come for him. “Am I some dangerous revolutionary,” he asked, “that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? 53 Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there every day. But this is your moment, the time when the power of darkness reigns.”

EVIL
We do our best to avoid evil and yet it tracks us every day.  When we are not focused on Jesus evil has its way.  Spend time with Jesus.  Seek His presence.

MARCH 8 – KNEW

03/08          Luke 22:49-51

When the other disciples saw what was about to happen, they exclaimed, “Lord, should we fight? We brought the swords!” 50 And one of them struck at the high priest’s slave, slashing off his right ear. 51 But Jesus said, “No more of this.” And he touched the man’s ear and healed him.

KNEW

Jesus knew why He was there and what would happen.  It was necessary for Him to die.  He knows why we are here and He knows what we are called to do.  Ask Him for wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding.  He will guide you.

MARCH 7 – BETRAY

03/07          Luke 22:47-48
But even as Jesus said this, a crowd approached, led by Judas, one of the twelve disciples. Judas walked over to Jesus to greet him with a kiss. 48 But Jesus said, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”

BETRAY
How often do we betray Jesus?  If our hearts are filled with thoughts about Jesus our mouths will speak the truth.

MARCH 6 – WHY?

3/06            Luke 22:45-46
At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief. 46 “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”

WHY?
Lord please don’t ask me why?  I’m a weak sinner.  I’m always trying to have the things of this world and control of you.  Help me Lord for I believe and yet I stonewall you.  Create in me a clean heart Lord and cleanse me from unrighteousness.  Praise the Lord.

MARCH 5 – FOCUS

3/05            Matthew 6:33
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. 34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

FOCUS
Focus on your relationship with Jesus.  Stay in touch with Him and what He is calling you to do.  Deal with today.  Don’t worry about tomorrow.

MARCH 4 – WORK-REST

3/04            Matthew 6:28-32

“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? 31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

WORK-REST

Work hard.  Rest hard.  Don’t worry.  That is a good philosophy for us to maintain.  The Lord knows what we need and He will provide.

MARCH 3 – CARES

3/03            Matthew 6:26-27

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

CARES

God cares for you.  He is intimately involved in your life.  We can truly say that every day is a good day for Jesus is there ahead of and with us and He will guide us every step of the way.  Jesus is Lord.

MARCH 02 – WORRY

3/02            Matthew 6:25
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

WORRY
Do not worry.  From the lips of Jesus.  This is important for us.  Insecurity and worry cloud our days and crowd our lives.  Do not worry.  Period.  It’s a promise to us that Jesus has better things for us.  Do not worry.  Jesus knows what you are going through and He is there with you.  Do not worry.
