09/09 Psalm 66:18-20
If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. 19 But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. 20 Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.
CONFESS
Confess your sin. This includes turning away from your sin and ordering your steps to follow the Lord. He listens to you. He knows your name and everything about you. His love for you is eternal. The Lord is good and He will never leave you.
09/08 Psalm 66:16-17
Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. 17 For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke.
ATTITUDE
Turn to the Lord in need with an attitude of gratitude for what He has done and what He will do. You will be amazed how much different things become when you live with absolute certainty your Father is taking care of you. The Lord is good all the time. All the time the Lord is good.
09/07 Psalm 66:13-15
Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you— 14 yes, the sacred vows that I made when I was in deep trouble. 15 That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you— the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma, and a sacrifice of bulls and male goats. Interlude
DEVOTION
We want to develop a daily devotion to the Lord. We want to think about Him every day, every hour and every moment. The Lord is good and worthy of all of our praise. Let us have a devotion to Him that becomes a daily reality in our life. Pray without ceasing. Spend time with Jesus.
09/06 Psalm 66:10-12
You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver. 11 You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs. 12 Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.
CARES
The Lord cares for you. When we claim the gift of life in Christ we become a member of His family forever. He will not forget you for He has etched your name into the palms of His hand. Jesus loves you.
09/05 Psalm 66:8-9
Let the whole world bless our God and loudly sing his praises. 9 Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
HIS
We forget that we belong to Jesus. Let us today remember we are His and He is ours. Jesus is Lord. Cast your heart upon Him and He will heal your hurts.
09/04 Psalm 66:7
For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude
CONTROL
The Lord is in control and He knows how things will work out. The nations do not surprise Him nothing that happens in your life surprises Him.
09/03 Psalm 66:5-6
Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! 6 He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. There we rejoiced in him.
COME
Let everyone see what has happened to you and what the Lord is doing in your life. Just as in Biblical times when the Lord made a dry path through the Red Sea He has parted the sin and destruction in your life and made a way through for you. Rejoice dear brother, dear sister for the Lord is good and His goodness amazing to behold. Rejoice.
09/02 Psalm 66:3-4
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power. 4 Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” Interlude
AWESOME
The Lord God is awesome His deeds are mighty and amazing. Do not fear for the Lord is your champion and He loves you. Today live with His peace and joy knowing that He has His eye upon you.
09/01 Psalm 66:1-2
1 Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! 2 Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is.
JESUS
Jesus is Lord. Tell everyone about Him. Let them know that Jesus is the source of your joy that Jesus gives you His peace and that He showers you with His mercy and grace. He is Lord and let Him give you wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding that each one of us desperately need.
08/31 Psalm 78:4
We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.
TELL
Tell your children about Jesus. Tell them everyday. Tell them in detail. Tell them the truth. Let them see how Jesus changes you. Are you changed by Jesus? If so tell everyone about Jesus. If you aren’t changed then you need to get together with Jesus and let Him change YOU!
