11/23 John 8:1-6
Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, 2 but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. 3 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and Pharisees brought a woman they had caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. 4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the very act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” 6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger.

11/22 John 7:50-53
Nicodemus, the leader who had met with Jesus earlier, then spoke up. 51 “Is it legal to convict a man before he is given a hearing?” he asked. 52 They replied, “Are you from Galilee, too? Search the Scriptures and see for yourself — no prophet ever comes from Galilee!” 53 Then the meeting broke up and everybody went home.
COURAGE
Jesus always had great courage. He lived a perfect life. He faced gigantic obstacles and yet without sin. He believed in the Father and what the Father had said. He lived with courage. No retreat. No foolishness. He lived on the road to the Cross.
11/21 John 7:43-49
So the crowd was divided in their opinion about him. 44 And some wanted him arrested, but no one touched him. 45 The Temple guards who had been sent to arrest him returned to the leading priests and Pharisees. “Why didn’t you bring him in?” they demanded. 46 “We have never heard anyone talk like this!” the guards responded. 47 “Have you been led astray, too?” the Pharisees mocked. 48 “Is there a single one of us rulers or Pharisees who believes in him? 49 These ignorant crowds do, but what do they know about it? A curse on them anyway!”
TIMING
God’s timing is always perfect. We need to know that the Lord is with us. We are His children and He is our Father. Have faith in Jesus and He will be Lord of your life giving you the wisdom, mercy and grace that you need for living.
11/20 John 7:40-42
When the crowds heard him say this, some of them declared, “This man surely is the Prophet.” 41 Others said, “He is the Messiah.” Still others said, “But he can’t be! Will the Messiah come from Galilee? 42 For the Scriptures clearly state that the Messiah will be born of the royal line of David, in Bethlehem, the village where King David was born.”
INFORMATION
These folks had a serious lack of information. How about you? Do you believe that Jesus is Lord? If you do and you have accepted His gift of new life you are in the Family of God. Jesus is Lord.
11/19 John 7:37-39
On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “If you are thirsty, come to me! 38 If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within.” 39 (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
NEED
What do you need? Go to Jesus. He is a need meeting Lord and He will meet your need. Struggling? Call on Jesus. He loves you and Jesus will give you what you need.
11/18 John 7:35-36
The Jewish leaders were puzzled by this statement. “Where is he planning to go?” they asked. “Maybe he is thinking of leaving the country and going to the Jews in other lands, or maybe even to the Gentiles! 36 What does he mean when he says, ‘You will search for me but not find me,’ and ‘You won’t be able to come where I am’?”
SENT
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us so that we could be with Him now. Christ is in us and with us in spirit but one day we will see Him face to face. Do not fear death. Jesus conquered death and He lives today giving proof that you and I will live with Him forever. Jesus loves you.
11/17 John 7:32-34
When the Pharisees heard that the crowds were murmuring such things, they and the leading priests sent Temple guards to arrest Jesus. 33 But Jesus told them, “I will be here a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me. 34 You will search for me but not find me. And you won’t be able to come where I am.”
LOCATION
Location, location location-Jesus is always at the right place. When you need Jesus He is there. You will never be separated from Him nor will anything be able to take Him away from you. Jesus is Lord.
11/16 John 7:31
Many among the crowds at the Temple believed in him. “After all,” they said, “would you expect the Messiah to do more miraculous signs than this man has done?”
DO
Jesus is active in our world. He meets people where they are and brings them to knowledge of the Father. Jesus is here and He is alive and working in my life and in your life. Jesus is Lord.
11/15 John 7:30
Then the leaders tried to arrest him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.
TIMING
The Father’s timing is always right. He knows all and functions within that knowledge to deal with our life, our events and the way things play out. Do not fear for the Lord is near. Jesus loves you.
11/14 John 7:28-29
While Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he called out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I come from. But I represent one you don’t know, and he is true. 29 I know him because I have come from him, and he sent me to you.”
SENT
Jesus was sent to us. The Father sent him. He was on a mission. We are His mission. We had a great need-a relationship with God. Jesus breaks through the wall of barrier and brings us into the family of God.
