05/06 Luke 22:19
Then he took a loaf of bread; and when he had thanked God for it, he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”
BROKEN
The Roman soldiers broke his body; and they would hang Him on the Cross. His physical body was so badly battered that Pilate was surprised when the soldiers told him Jesus was dead. He was broken and poured out for our forgiveness.

05/05 Luke 22:16-18
For I tell you now that I won’t eat it again until it comes to fulfillment in the Kingdom of God.” 17 Then he took a cup of wine, and when he had given thanks for it, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves. 18 For I will not drink wine again until the Kingdom of God has come.”
HIS BLOOD
Jesus would pour out His blood on the Cross-for us. It was an effective offering that paid the price for our sin. No longer are we strangers but are provided for as members of His family. Jesus shed His blood for you.
05/04 Luke 22:15
Jesus said, “I have looked forward to this hour with deep longing, anxious to eat this Passover meal with you before my suffering begins.
DANGER
Jesus knew that the Cross event was coming and He wanted to make sure that He helped the Disciples see the meaning of the Lord’s Supper. We celebrate this event until today and until Jesus returns. Jesus is Lord and He loves you.
05/03 Luke 22:13-14
They went off to the city and found everything just as Jesus had said, and they prepared the Passover supper there. 14 Then at the proper time Jesus and the twelve apostles sat down together at the table.
TIME
Life is about timing. Jesus knows what time it is and we never do. Hell is a reality but we don’t know when we or anyone else will die and our challenge is to proclaim the Gospel to everyone we know. It is time to share the Gospel. Jesus tells us that now is the accepted time. Share the Gospel.
05/02 Luke 22:10-12
He replied, “As soon as you enter Jerusalem, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him. At the house he enters, 11 say to the owner, ‘The Teacher asks, Where is the guest room where I can eat the Passover meal with my disciples?’ 12 He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is the place. Go ahead and prepare our supper there.”
CONCERNED
Jesus was concerned about His disciples. He was preparing a time with them that will become a key part of our worship experience. He knew their need. He knew our need. He loves us and willingly died for us. Jesus is Lord.
05/01 Luke 22:7-9
Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread arrived, when the Passover lambs were sacrificed. 8 Jesus sent Peter and John ahead and said, “Go and prepare the Passover meal, so we can eat it together.” 9 “Where do you want us to go?” they asked him.
DIRECTIONS
Jesus gives us the directions we need to do what He has called us to do. Listen to the Lord. Do what He says. Obedience is the foundation of our spiritual growth. Jesus knew what was going on in the final days of His life.
4/30 Luke 22:3-6
Then Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve disciples, 4 and he went over to the leading priests and captains of the Temple guard to discuss the best way to betray Jesus to them. 5 They were delighted that he was ready to help them, and they promised him a reward. 6 So he began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus so they could arrest him quietly when the crowds weren’t around.
SATAN
When evil is afoot Satan wins. Evil spreads like a cancer touching unsuspecting and foolish people bending them to its will. Make no mistake; evil never seeks a good result. It is always seeking whom it might destroy. Look around you. Evil is always at the center of mayhem and chaos destroying lives and wrecking everything it touches.
4/29 Luke 22:1-2
The Festival of Unleavened Bread, which begins with the Passover celebration, was drawing near. 2 The leading priests and teachers of religious law were actively plotting Jesus’ murder. But they wanted to kill him without starting a riot, a possibility they greatly feared.
EVIL
Those plotting to murder Jesus were evil. They were religious leaders and they were evil. Take care as to the way you live your life. Evaluate what you are doing and make sure it is what Jesus would have you do. Do not let evil control you. Only Jesus can cleanse our hearts and guide righteous activity.
4/28 Luke 21:28-38
So when all these things begin to happen, stand straight and look up, for your salvation is near!” 29 Then he gave them this illustration: “Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. 30 When the leaves come out, you know without being told that summer is near. 31 Just so, when you see the events I’ve described taking place, you can be sure that the Kingdom of God is near. 32 I assure you, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these events have taken place. 33 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever. 34 “Watch out! Don’t let me find you living in careless ease and drunkenness, and filled with the worries of this life. Don’t let that day catch you unaware, 35 as in a trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. 36 Keep a constant watch. And pray that, if possible, you may escape these horrors and stand before the Son of Man.” 37 Every day Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the night on the Mount of Olives. 38 The crowds gathered early each morning to hear him.
WATCH
Mind the way you live your life. Watch and pray for Jesus is coming back at a time we do not know but we do know He is coming back. Come Lord Jesus.
4/27 Luke 21:16-27
Even those closest to you — your parents, brothers, relatives, and friends — will betray you. And some of you will be killed. 17 And everyone will hate you because of your allegiance to me. 18 But not a hair of your head will perish! 19 By standing firm, you will win your souls. 20 “And when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then you will know that the time of its destruction has arrived. 21 Then those in Judea must flee to the hills. Let those in Jerusalem escape, and those outside the city should not enter it for shelter. 22 For those will be days of God’s vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled. 23 How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for mothers nursing their babies. For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 They will be brutally killed by the sword or sent away as captives to all the nations of the world. And Jerusalem will be conquered and trampled down by the Gentiles until the age of the Gentiles comes to an end. 25 “And there will be strange events in the skies — signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And down here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. 26 The courage of many people will falter because of the fearful fate they see coming upon the earth, because the stability of the very heavens will be broken up. 27 Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with power and great glory.
AMEN
Jesus is coming back. Amen and praise the Lord, Jesus is coming back.
