01/25 Luke 12:35-40
“Be dressed for service and well prepared, 36 as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. 37 There will be special favor for those who are ready and waiting for his return. I tell you, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat! 38 He may come in the middle of the night or just before dawn. But whenever he comes, there will be special favor for his servants who are ready! 39 “Know this: A homeowner who knew exactly when a burglar was coming would not permit the house to be broken into. 40 You must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.”

Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.
REALITY
We let our things control us. What kind of car we drive. The type of house we live in. What our children do. The list is endless. We spend our time thinking about all of the bad things that could happen to us and often work hard by our choices to make be things happen. Stop struggling. Give you heart and your life to Jesus and let Him give you direction for daily living. Let Jesus have your anxiety. Don’t worry.
01/23 Luke 12:33
“Sell what you have and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven have no holes in them. Your treasure will be safe — no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it.
TRUTH
Anything you own that you cannot give away, it owns you. Divest yourself of being controlled by worldly things. Turn to Jesus and let Him give you direction of what you should do. Tithe becomes the standard. Giving is above the tithe. Let God be God in your life and you practice being a servant. Peace and joy accrue to those that wait upon the Lord.
01/22 Luke 12:32
“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.
FEAR
Jesus will cast out fear. At the first evidence of fear in your heart go to Jesus. He will not ignore you. He will encourage and strengthen you and take away your fear. Jesus is faithful. Jesus is all-powerful. Jesus loves you.
01/21 Luke 12:29-31
And don’t worry about food — what to eat and drink. Don’t worry whether God will provide it for you. 30 These things dominate the thoughts of most people, but your Father already knows your needs. 31 He will give you all you need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
ASK
Ask Jesus for the things you need and the things your friends, family, country and everyone else you pray for needs. Jesus will meet our needs. Pray and believe and Jesus will see you through.
01/20 Luke 12:25-28
Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not! 26 And if worry can’t do little things like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things? 27 “Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 28 And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t he more surely care for you? You have so little faith!
FAITH
Faith is living without seeing-Jesus is alive and you are the focus of His life. Each one of us is first with Jesus. Hard to believe even though it is true, have faith in God and He will see you through all of the tough times. Life is hard but Jesus is victorious even before you need His victory.
01/19 Luke 12:22-24
Then turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “So I tell you, don’t worry about everyday life — whether you have enough food to eat or clothes to wear. 23 For life consists of far more than food and clothing. 24 Look at the ravens. They don’t need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!
WORRY
Don’t worry instead take your cares and concerns to Jesus. Stay with Jesus until He lifts the burden from you. Will it take and hour, or much more? I don’t know but I do know that Jesus will shoulder your burdens and carry them for you.
01/18 Luke 12:15-21
Then he said, “Beware! Don’t be greedy for what you don’t have. Real life is not measured by how much we own.” 16 And he gave an illustration: “A rich man had a fertile farm that produced fine crops. 17 In fact, his barns were full to overflowing. 18 So he said, ‘I know! I’ll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I’ll have room enough to store everything. 19 And I’ll sit back and say to myself, My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!’ 20 “But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get it all?’ 21 “Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”
FOCUS
What is the focus of your life? Are you overwhelmed with problems? Sit down and take stock of what is going on in your life. Is Jesus the focus? Make Him your focus and let Him give you the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding that you need. Additionally, ask Him to deal with the difficulties you are facing. Jesus is Lord and you are first with Him.
01/17 Luke 12:13-14
Then someone called from the crowd, “Teacher, please tell my brother to divide our father’s estate with me.” 14 Jesus replied, “Friend, who made me a judge over you to decide such things as that?”
JUDGE
We waste a lot of time judging others. We need to listen to Jesus-He calls us to love one another. Save the judging for disciplining yourself. Love those around you. Be a be and do a do.
01/16 Luke 12:10-12
Yet those who speak against the Son of Man may be forgiven, but anyone who speaks blasphemies against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. 11 “And when you are brought to trial in the synagogues and before rulers and authorities, don’t worry about what to say in your defense, 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you what needs to be said even as you are standing there.”
SPEAK
Speak carefully and kindly. When under attack trust the Lord for what to say. Trust the Lord with all of your heart and you will never be defeated. Jesus is Lord and what He guides us to do will last. Do not be overwhelmed or downcast. Jesus is your peace He is your joy and you can stand knowing that you have His peace and joy.
