12/06 Luke 11:5-10
Then, teaching them more about prayer, he used this illustration: “Suppose you went to a friend’s house at midnight, wanting to borrow three loaves of bread. You would say to him, 6 ‘A friend of mine has just arrived for a visit, and I have nothing for him to eat.’ 7 He would call out from his bedroom, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is locked for the night, and we are all in bed. I can’t help you this time.’ 8 But I tell you this — though he won’t do it as a friend, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you what you want so his reputation won’t be damaged. 9 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks.
KEY
Persistence is the key. Don’t let today get you down. Tomorrow, the next day and so on keep praying. One year, two years, ten years, forty years Jesus calls us not to give up. Keep praying and see the work the Lord does. Jesus is alive. We are called to pray.

12/05 Luke 11:1
Once when Jesus had been out praying, one of his disciples came to him as he finished and said, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” 2 He said, “This is how you should pray: “Father, may your name be honored. May your Kingdom come soon. 3 Give us our food day by day. 4 And forgive us our sins — just as we forgive those who have sinned against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation. ”
PRAY
Pray like Jesus. He is our architect for prayer. He begins with the Father, His will, our need and others needs, and our need to stand up against the difficulty of the day-do the next right thing. This is important. Read it. Memorize it. Pray.
12/4 Luke 10:38
As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed them into her home. 39 Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. 40 But Martha was worrying over the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” 41 But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are so upset over all these details! 42 There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it — and I won’t take it away from her.”
JESUS
HE is the only one that gives us light and life for living. We live life fully right now and into eternity. We will never be with out Jesus. He loves us and will be with us here and now and take our hand into eternity. He calls us to surrender that we might grow. In Him we can grow and He will show us how. What do you need today? Ask Jesus and He will do it.
12/3 Luke 10:29
The man wanted to justify his actions, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Jesus replied with an illustration: “A Jewish man was traveling on a trip from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes and money, beat him up, and left him half dead beside the road. 31 “By chance a Jewish priest came along; but when he saw the man lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. 32 A Temple assistant walked over and looked at him lying there, but he also passed by on the other side. 33 “Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt deep pity. 34 Kneeling beside him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with medicine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. 35 The next day he handed the innkeeper two pieces of silver and told him to take care of the man. ‘If his bill runs higher than that,’ he said, ‘I’ll pay the difference the next time I am here.’ 36 “Now which of these three would you say was a neighbor to the man who was attacked by bandits?” Jesus asked. 37 The man replied, “The one who showed him mercy.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”
WHO
Who is my neighbor? Anyone I come across. People count with Jesus therefore they should count with us. Jesus is alive and is living in us. He is calling you and me to be His hands and feet. Love people and you will be serving Jesus.
12/2 Luke 10:25-28
One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what must I do to receive eternal life?” 26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” 27 The man answered, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” 28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”
JESUS
Jesus is the only way to the Father. HE is God’s everything. Everything you need for life and light is found in Jesus. He died to save us from our sin. He lives to guide us safely home to the Father. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus-HE is our way for life.
12/1 Luke 10:23-24
Then when they were alone, he turned to the disciples and said, “How privileged you are to see what you have seen. 24 I tell you, many prophets and kings have longed to see and hear what you have seen and heard, but they could not.”
SEE
Today we see clearly for the moment and then we are blindsided. We could see so clearly but we totally missed the reality that now overwhelms us. Trust in Jesus. He already sees everything about us and He will prepare us for the day-each day. Let Jesus lead you.

11/27 Colossians 3:15-16
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are all called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the words of Christ, in all their richness, live in your hearts and make you wise. Use his words to teach and counsel each other. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
THANKFUL
We are to have thankful hearts. Thanksgiving is tomorrow. Let us think of those things we are thankful for right this moment. If you are feeling down then get a piece of paper and write the things you for which you are thankful. Begin with your salvation. You didn’t earn it. It was a free gift. Thank you God for my salvation.
