11/06 Luke 9:21-22
Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about this. 22 “For I, the Son of Man, must suffer many terrible things,” he said. “I will be rejected by the leaders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. I will be killed, but three days later I will be raised from the dead.”
KNEW
Jesus knew what He was doing. He knew He would sacrifice His life for us. The just for the unjust and while we were dead in our trespasses and sin Christ died for you and me. Praise the Lord. Jesus paid it all. Jesus loves you.

11/05 Luke 9:18-20
One day as Jesus was alone, praying, he came over to his disciples and asked them, “Who do people say I am?” 19 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say you are one of the other ancient prophets risen from the dead.” 20 Then he asked them, “Who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Messiah sent from God!”
GOD
Jesus is God. He came to Earth and experienced the kind of life that we experienced yet He did not sin. His faith in the Father was complete. When we walk with Jesus we are walking with God. Jesus is Lord and He is Lord of all.
11/04 Luke 9:14
For there were about five thousand men there. “Just tell them to sit down on the ground in groups of about fifty each,” Jesus replied. 15 So the people all sat down. 16 Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and asked God’s blessing on the food. Breaking the loaves into pieces, he kept giving the bread and fish to the disciples to give to the people. 17 They all ate as much as they wanted, and they picked up twelve baskets of leftovers!
SUCCESS
How do you define success? Notice that here Jesus feeds 5,000 men plus women and children. He did that by bringing honor to God and not man. He fed people. His concern was for people. Jesus died for people. God’s definition of success includes taking care of people. Does your definition of success include taking care of people?
11/03 Luke 9:12-13
Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said, “Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this deserted place.” 13 But Jesus said, “You feed them.” “Impossible!” they protested. “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish. Or are you expecting us to go and buy enough food for this whole crowd?”
FEAR
We are fearful creatures. We cannot see how something will work out and our first thoughts are thoughts of fear. We can’t work. We can’t get well. We don’t have this or that. All of these things strike fear in our heart. It doesn’t matter whether the issue is real or imagined the fear is certainly real. Jesus calls us to a life of trust. I will trust the Lord and “walk thru the valley of the shadow of death” and fear no evil. Our Lord is good and He is seeking our best good. Trust Him and fear not.
11/02 Luke 9:10-11
When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything they had done. Then he slipped quietly away with them toward the town of Bethsaida. 11 But the crowds found out where he was going, and they followed him. And he welcomed them, teaching them about the Kingdom of God and curing those who were ill.
HELP
We need help. When we need help we are often desperate to get help. Jesus never makes us wait until we are desperate. Although He will hear us when we are desperate He hears us when we speak to Him. Now is the time to speak with Jesus. He will listen to you.
11/01 Luke 9:6-9
So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick. 7 When reports of Jesus’ miracles reached Herod Antipas, he was worried and puzzled because some were saying, “This is John the Baptist come back to life again.” 8 Others were saying, “It is Elijah or some other ancient prophet risen from the dead.” 9 “I beheaded John,” Herod said, “so who is this man about whom I hear such strange stories?” And he tried to see him.
INTERESTS
Jesus interests a lot of people that don’t know Him. Lost people sometimes think that one day they will make a decision about Jesus. It’s a nice thought that is quickly shoved to the back of their mind. We are called to accept Jesus as our Savior and Lord. Lost people ignore Jesus. Be careful that you don’t ignore Him.
10/31 Luke 9:5
If the people of the village won’t receive your message when you enter it, shake off its dust from your feet as you leave. It is a sign that you have abandoned that village to its fate.”
CHOICE
Everyone has a choice. We cannot choose for them. They are responsible. We are called to choose Jesus but we can reject Him. Our responsibility is to tell them about Jesus. There responsibility is to hear and accept.
10/30 Luke 9:3-4
“Don’t even take along a walking stick,” he instructed them, “nor a traveler’s bag, nor food, nor money. Not even an extra coat. 4 When you enter each village, be a guest in only one home.
TRUST
We the Lord calls us on mission He will equip us. Do not worry. The Lord will no desert you. Trust Him at His Word. He loves you.
10/29 Luke 9:1-2
One day Jesus called together his twelve apostles and gave them power and authority to cast out demons and to heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the coming of the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
PARTNERS
We are partners together with the Lord. He calls us to depend upon Him entirely. Day by day we live with Him and learn to obey Him. Do the next right thing and your life will change.
10/28 Luke 8:54-56
Then Jesus took her by the hand and said in a loud voice, “Get up, my child!” 55 And at that moment her life returned, and she immediately stood up! Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were overwhelmed, but Jesus insisted that they not tell anyone what had happened.
NOW
Jesus is alive and He will live in you. Jesus is a now. He saves us now. He gives us what we need now. Jesus will not mislead you because He is here to guide you through out your life. Let the Lord have your heart, trust in Him and He will give you life and light for living.
