OCT. 13 – HEBREWS 11:7

10/13          Hebrews 11:7

7 It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.

GROWTH

Growth comes from the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

God gives to us generously when we by faith trust in Him.

Faith is the fundamental requirement once we believe in Jesus.

We continue with Him by faith.

We pray, study and grow in Christ by faith.

Trust Jesus and believe in Him.

He will grow your faith.

OCT. 12 – HEBREWS 11:6

10/12          Hebrews 11:6

6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

BEGIN

We begin our journey with Jesus by faith.

We spend time with Him and get to know Him.

He sends the Holy Spirit to live in us.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we live our life.

By faith we follow Jesus.

By faith we live filled with the power of God, the Holy Spirit.

By faith in Jesus, we conquer sin.

Every day with Jesus we walk in the Spirit and seek to grow in Him.

OCT. 11 – 1 JOHN 5:4-5

10/11          1 John 5:4-5

4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

YOU

You are called to believe in Jesus.

There is no other way to the Father.

Jesus is our Savior.

He guides us in the Godly way.

He connects us with the Father.

You must believe in Jesus.

OCT. 10 – JAMES 1:2-4

10/10          James 1:2-4

2 Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.

FAILURE

Failure is a part of our growth.

We tend to be hard-headed and stubborn.

Failure gets our attention.

Failure points us to the Lord.

You will discover that most success is undergirded with failure.

Keep following Jesus.

OCT. 9 – HEBREWS 12:2

10/09          Hebrews 12:2

2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

SUCCESS

Only Jesus can help us succeed in our daily walk.

Pray, study, meditate, memorize Scripture.

Jesus is always with us.

Let Him lead you.

Keep your eyes upon Jesus.

OCT. 8 – HEBREWS 10:39

10/08          Hebrews 10:39

39 But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

GIFT

Jesus gave us the gift of eternal life.

We know Him and follow Him.

He will keep us close until we go to be with Him.

Trust in the Lord with your whole heart.

He will guide you in the life sustaining way.

OCT. 7 – COL. 2:6-10

10/07          Colossians 2:6-10

6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers[a] of this world, rather than from Christ. 9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.[b] 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

HEAD

Jesus is the head over all things.

Nothing exists without Him.

We accepted Him, were saved by Him,

Now we seek to live under His guidance and direction.

Seek the Lord and know Him better.

Jesus is Lord.

OCT. 6 – HEBREWS 10:39

10/06          Hebrews 10:39

39 But we are not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

SEEK

Seek the Lord while He may be found.

Seek the Lord.

He is looking for us.

He is our Savior.

Oh Lord, I believe.

Help my unbelief.

OCT. 5 – PHIL. 3:8-11

10/05          Philippians 3:8-11

8 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ 9 and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ.[a] For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. 10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death, 11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!

SHORT

We have a short time here on earth.

One day soon we will be with Jesus.

Right now we will stand for Jesus in the power of the Lord.

Our suffering is painful and difficult, but it is for a very short time.

Then we will be with Jesus in eternity.

We will see Him as He is-Lord, Creator, Savior, and Sustainer.

Hallelujah, Jesus is Lord.

OCT. 4 – GALATIANS 2:20

10/04          Galatians 2:20

20 My old self has been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
UNDERSTAND

I understand the difficulty of living for Jesus.

It is impossible for me to stand in the face of evil.

I am weak and burdened.

But in the power of God through the residence of the Holy Spirit in me,

I can do all things in Christ.

When I am weak, He is strong.

Jesus is my Lord and Savior.
