1/26 John 3:29
The bride will go where the bridegroom is. A bridegroom’s friend rejoices with him. I am the bridegroom’s friend, and I am filled with joy at his success. 30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
JESUS
John the Baptist recognized the Savior. Think about your life. How are things? Jesus changes everything. He will affect your physical life and your spiritual life. He will give you a new heart that He will educate. Jesus changes everything in your life beginning right now. Ask Christ to deal with whatever obstacle or difficulty you are facing. Do not give up. Sometimes it takes a little while for the Lord to educate us.

1/25 John 3:27-28
John replied, “God in heaven appoints each person’s work. 28 You yourselves know how plainly I told you that I am not the Messiah. I am here to prepare the way for him — that is all.
WORK
God has a job for you to do. It isn’t my job or someone else’s job it is your job. Let the Lord use you to do those things that only you can do. Remember people count with Jesus and He sends us to minister to people.
1/24 John 3:25-26
At that time a certain Jew began an argument with John’s disciples over ceremonial cleansing. 26 John’s disciples came to him and said, “Teacher, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you said was the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going over there instead of coming here to us.”
JESUS
Jesus is the Son of God and he is alive today. Christ lives in us. John the Baptist saw what was happening and knew that Jesus was the Lord. Jesus began His work where He was just as we are called to do our work where we are. Dreaming about doing God’s work is not doing God’s work. Get busy. Do the work. Serve the Lord. Be changed.
1/23 John 3:23-24
At this time John the Baptist was baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there and people kept coming to him for baptism. 24 This was before John was put into prison.
FAITHFULNESS
We are called to faithfulness. We surrender our life to let Jesus live in us. I am to spend time with Him so that I will know Him. If we ignore the Lord we will flail around in life. We won’t know where to go and what to do. If we focus on Jesus our life will take function as the Lord leads us. We can do nothing without Jesus.
1/22 John 3:22
Afterward Jesus and his disciples left Jerusalem, but they stayed in Judea for a while and baptized there.
WORK
The work of the kingdom is sharing the Gospel with others. Jesus would that all might be saved. We need to be aware that we are partnering together with Christ in the work of the kingdom. Jesus is Lord and we are busy seeking to do His work. Step one in spreading the Gospel is to develop a real concern for those we know. People count with the Lord and they should count with us.
1/21 John 3:20-21
They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants.”
SIN
Sin is demanding and enslaving. It always seeks to counterfeit the light but it is only darkness. When we turn our life over to Jesus He will always guide us in the light. If things are a bit dark for you right now, if you life is chaotic and confusing, ask the Lord to bring you back to the light. Jesus is the light and in Him is NO darkness. Let Jesus lead you today.
1/20 John 3:19
Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil.
WORLD
The world is wise in their own eyes but they are not because they are foolishly fighting against God. Do not stand with the sinner. Bend your knee to Christ and ask Him to guide your day. If you belong to Him live like you do for we can do all things in Christ. If you don’t know Him stop right where you are and ask the Lord to forgive you of your sin and save you. He will. Once you are in God’s family remember that He is the source of wisdom for living.
1/19 John 3:18
“There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.
TRUST
Trust is a choice. We choose whether we will trust the Lord or distrust Him. If we choose to distrust the Lord then we do not have a claim on Him for salvation. That feeling that we are all alone and at the mercy of the world is correct for those that do not trust the Lord.
1/18 John 3:17
God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.
SALVATION
The Lord is in the SAVING business. Don’t get sidetracked. The Creator of all things is interested in having a relationship with you and in Christ has defined how that relationship will work. We believe in Him. We confess our lost-ness. Jesus paid the price for our sin and offers a relationship with the Lord for free. We believe that Christ has saved us. We depend on Him for daily living. It is that simple. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.
1/17 John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
YOU
You are the reason Christ came. He died for you. He lives for you. He is seeking your best good. Jesus loves you and would that your life be a life worthy of His death. Bless you today as you seek to become more like Jesus.
