NOVEMBER 30 – RETURN

11/30 Matthew 24:32-51
“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its buds become tender and its leaves begin to sprout, you know without being told that summer is near. Just so, when you see the events I’ve described beginning to happen, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I assure you, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place. Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will remain forever. “However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the Flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the Flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes. “Two men will be working together in the field; one will be taken, the other left. Two women will be grinding flour at the mill; one will be taken, the other left. So be prepared, because you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. “Know this: A homeowner who knew exactly when a burglar was coming would stay alert and not permit the house to be broken into. You also must be ready all the time. For the Son of Man will come when least expected. “Who is a faithful, sensible servant, to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his household and feeding his family? If the master returns and finds that the servant has done a good job, there will be a reward. I assure you, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. But if the servant is evil and thinks, ‘My master won’t be back for a while,’ and begins oppressing the other servants, partying, and getting drunk — well, the master will return unannounced and unexpected. He will tear the servant apart and banish him with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
RETURN
JESUS is coming back.

NOVEMBER 29 – JESUS

11/29 1 Corinthians 1:4-9
I can never stop thanking God for all the generous gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus. He has enriched your church with the gifts of eloquence and every kind of knowledge. This shows that what I told you about Christ is true. Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong right up to the end, and he will keep you free from all blame on the great day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will surely do this for you, for he always does just what he says, and he is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
JESUS
Jesus is God’s everything. When we are in Christ we have what we need to live a Godly life. Jesus is my friend and He wants to be your friend.

NOVEMBER 28 -SAVED

11/28 Psalm 25:1-22 (First Sunday of Advent)
A psalm of David. To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. I trust in you, my God! Do not let me be disgraced, or let my enemies rejoice in my defeat. No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others. Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Remember, O LORD, your unfailing love and compassion, which you have shown from long ages past. Forgive the rebellious sins of my youth; look instead through the eyes of your unfailing love, for you are merciful, O LORD. The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in what is right, teaching them his way. The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all those who keep his covenant and obey his decrees. For the honor of your name, O LORD, forgive my many, many sins. Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. They will live in prosperity, and their children will inherit the Promised Land. Friendship with the LORD is reserved for those who fear him. With them he shares the secrets of his covenant. My eyes are always looking to the LORD for help, for he alone can rescue me from the traps of my enemies. Turn to me and have mercy on me, for I am alone and in deep distress. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! Feel my pain and see my trouble. Forgive all my sins. See how many enemies I have, and how viciously they hate me! Protect me! Rescue my life from them! Do not let me be disgraced, for I trust in you. May integrity and honesty protect me, for I put my hope in you. O God, ransom Israel from all its troubles.
SAVED
The LORD saved me. He paid the price for my sin and set me free. Jesus made me a part of God’s family. Praise the Lord I am his.

NOVEMBER 27 – WAIT

11/27 Isaiah 21:1-5
This is another vision that Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem: In the last days, the Temple of the LORD in Jerusalem will become the most important place on earth. People from all over the world will go there to worship. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the Temple of the God of Israel. There he will teach us his ways, so that we may obey him.” For in those days the LORD’s teaching and his word will go out from Jerusalem. The LORD will settle international disputes. All the nations will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. All wars will stop, and military training will come to an end. Come, people of Israel, let us walk in the light of the LORD!
WAIT
We are an instant society. We refuse to wait. Nearly 2,700 years ago the Lord declared through Isaiah that He was doing something that would astound the world. Just wait and you will see. Jesus is Lord.

NOVEMBER 26 – SERVICE

11/26 1 Thessalonians 2:5-9
Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you very well know. And God is our witness that we were not just pretending to be your friends so you would give us money! As for praise, we have never asked for it from you or anyone else. As apostles of Christ we certainly had a right to make some demands of you, but we were as gentle among you as a mother feeding and caring for her own children. We loved you so much that we gave you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too. Don’t you remember, dear brothers and sisters, how hard we worked among you? Night and day we toiled to earn a living so that our expenses would not be a burden to anyone there as we preached God’s Good News among you.
SERVICE
Serve the Lord. Serve Him by serving those around you. When we serve others we are in partnership with the Lord representing Him in the World. Be about the Lord’s business by serving those who live around you.

NOVEMBER 25 – MESSENGER

11/25 1 Thessalonians 2:4
For we speak as messengers who have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He is the one who examines the motives of our hearts.
MESSENGER
You are a messenger from God. We are to tell everyone about Jesus and what He has done in our life. When we go and tell as we go it pleases the Lord.

NOVEMBER 24 – PROCLAIM

11/24 1 Thessalonians 2:1-3
You yourselves know, dear brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not a failure. You know how badly we had been treated at Philippi just before we came to you and how much we suffered there. Yet our God gave us the courage to declare his Good News to you boldly, even though we were surrounded by many who opposed us. So you can see that we were not preaching with any deceit or impure purposes or trickery.
PROCLAIM
Speak the truth boldly in a way that is understandable. Tell everyone about the Good News-that the Lord has intervened in our world and saved us. Jesus was looking for you and now you are found. Jesus is Lord.

NOVEMBER 23 – STRENGTH

11/23 Psalm 18:47-50
He is the God who pays back those who harm me; he subdues the nations under me and rescues me from my enemies. You hold me safe beyond the reach of my enemies; you save me from violent opponents. For this, O LORD, I will praise you among the nations; I will sing joyfully to your name. You give great victories to your king; you show unfailing love to your anointed, to David and all his descendants forever.
STRENGTH
The Lord is my strength. Joy and peace reigns in my soul the Lord is my strength.

NOVEMBER 22 – STAND

11/22 Psalm 18:42-46
I ground them as fine as dust carried by the wind. I swept them into the gutter like dirt. You gave me victory over my accusers. You appointed me as the ruler over nations; people I don’t even know now serve me. As soon as they hear of me, they submit; foreigners cringe before me. They all lose their courage and come trembling from their strongholds. The LORD lives! Blessed be my rock! May the God of my salvation be exalted!

STAND
God’s children stand in the time of trial. Nothing can move them because the Lord Jesus stands in them. Jesus is alive and He is alive in His children. Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. Jesus is my salvation.

NOVEMBER 21 – LORD

11/21 Psalm 18:40-41
You made them turn and run; I have destroyed all who hated me. They called for help, but no one came to rescue them. They cried to the LORD, but he refused to answer them.
LORD
The Lord knows who belongs to Him. Do you belong to Jesus? If you do you can cry out in your time of need. Trust the Lord. Turn to Him so that He will be there in your time of need.
