SEPT. 29 – MT. 17:19-20

09/29          Matthew 17:19-20

19 Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast out that demon?”

20 “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.

HARD

When it is hard, turn to Jesus.

Spend time with Him. 

Let Him have His way with you and He will do it.

Jesus makes the impossible possible. 

Turn to Jesus.

He will see you through. 

SEPT. 28 – MARK 9:24-29

09/28          Mark 9:24-29

24 The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

25 When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing, he rebuked the evil[f] spirit. “Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said. “I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!”

26 Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him. The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.

28 Afterward, when Jesus was alone in the house with his disciples, they asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast out that evil spirit?”

29 Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by prayer.[g]

PRAYER

Prayer is important.

Prayer changes us. 

Prayer changes our situation.

God answers prayer. 

Trust Jesus-Pray. 

SEPT. 27 – MARK 9:23

09/27          Mark 9:23

23 “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

BELIEVE

Believe in Jesus. 

Believe also in God.

Jesus created us, saved us, unto eternity. 

Believe in Jesus and He will change your life,

From failure and chaos to peace and joy. 

Jesus is Lord. 

SEPT. 26 – PSALM 91:2

09/26          Psalm 91:2
This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
    he is my God, and I trust him.

JESUS

Jesus is God’s everything. 

He is our only refuge, our place of safety.

He sent the Holy Spirit to us to fill us with the power of God. 

In His power we walk in victory. 

Praise the Lord, Jesus is our Lord and Savior.  Amen. 

SEPT. 25 – PSALM 44:5

09/25          Psalm 44:5

Only by your power can we push back our enemies;
    only in your name can we trample our foes.

HOLY SPIRIT

We cannot fight the spiritual battle in our own strength,

So the Lord gives us His power and strength through the Holy Spirit.

He fights for us.

He stands before us in the battle.

He holds us and we hold Him. 

Praise God that He gives us the victory in Jesus. 

SEPT. 24 – JOHN 14:13-14

09/24          John 14:13-14

13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. 14 Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!

ASK

Ask Jesus for what you need.

Ask Jesus to answer your dreams.

Ask Jesus for guidance and direction.

The problem we face is that we don’t ask Jesus enough.

Ask Jesus for what you need. 

SEPT. 23 – 1 COR. 10:13

09/23          1 Corinthians 10:13

13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

ALL

We all face temptation.

Everyone’s temptation is tailored by Satan to affect them the most.

Don’t accept the lie that no one is having as hard a time as you.

Everybody stumbles.

Everybody fails.

Jesus saves us, once unto eternity and every time we fail.

Turn to Jesus, focus on HIM. 

Jesus never fails. 

SEPT. 22 – 2 TIM. 2:4

09/22          2 Timothy 2:4

Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them.

FOCUS

Everyday focus on Jesus.

When times are hard, focus on Jesus.

When you fail, focus on Jesus.

When you succeed, focus on Jesus. 

Always focus on Jesus. 


SEPT. 21 – 1 PETER 2:9

09/21          1 Peter 2:9

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,[a] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

SALVATION

Saved to serve.

Chosen by God.

Called to love others.

To be His hands and feet.

Jesus is Lord. 

SEPT. 20 – COL. 1:13-13

09/20          Colossians 1:12-13

12 always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light. 13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,

FAMILY

Jesus offers us His grace gift of salvation.

It is eternal, guaranteed by Jesus. 

We are now members of God’s family. 

We will reap those benefits by and by. 

Jesus is Lord, we love Him, He loves us.
