11/19 Psalms 7:17
17 I will thank the Lord because he is just;
I will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
JUST
God is just.
We are not because we never have all of the information.
Do not judge.
It creates a problem with people and with God.
It elevates our thinking beyond our abilities.
It is foolish to judge others, because in doing so we are judging ourselves.
Praise the Lord and think Him for His gracious forgiveness.
He is just – we are not.
11/18 Hebrews 13:15
15 Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.
PRAISE
God is worthy of all of our praise.
Praising God is a good habit to develop.
Praise Him with Psalms, hymns, and words and deeds.
Praise the Lord, yes, praise the Lord.
God is worthy of all of our praise.
11/17 Hebrews 12:28
28 Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.
RECOGNIZE
Recognize that God is Almighty, and you aren’t.
He would that you know and experience His love.
Arguing with God is foolish.
We don’t know anything.
Listen to God and obey.
If you aren’t listening you aren’t obeying.
11/16 Colossians 4:2
2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
TIME
In this world everything is measured by time.
God gives all of us twenty-four hours.
The challenge is how much of your time will you devote to a God focus?
It takes time with Jesus to hear Him.
It takes time with Jesus to change.
It takes time serving Jesus to grow.
Change and growth are two key elements we can measure.
Do I love my brothers and sisters?
Am I generous?
Will I obey the Lord?
Partial obedience is disobedience.
Am I willing to serve others?
Am I grateful?
11/15 Colossians 2:7
7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
FOCUS
It takes focus to grow in Christ.
We listen, we meditate, we let Him speak to us.
His voice is quiet, almost to the point that we have to lean in to hear.
Keep a journal and write down His words.
Write Scripture in your journal.
You will notice that His conversation will be recognizable.
Do not deny His direction, His promise of strength.
His will is that you might be equipped to serve.
Then you must serve.
Our faith doesn’t grow in a vacuum,
It grows as we exercise our faith and His directions.
Obedience is where we find the focus we need to step up to the next level.
The next level of service.
Jesus is Lord.
11/14 Psalms 118:29
29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
GOOD
Our Lord is good.
He is always good.
He is good to us.
Placing us in His throne room.
Giving us constant access to Him.
His faithful love is always with us.
11/13 Colossians 1:12
12 always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.
GRATITUDE
God gives us a wondrous gift,
Beyond diamonds and precious stones.
He gifts us a share of the inheritance of His people.
Our wonderful God brings us into His family forever.
What an amazing gift that no one can take away from us.
11/12 James 1:17
17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
GIFT
Our great and might God, Jesus Christ, is a GIFT giver.
He gives us salvation.
He gives us His presence.
He gives us companionship.
He reveals himself to us in our obedience.
Praise God our Lord, for His wondrous gifts.
11/11 Psalm 106:47
47 Save us, O Lord our God!
Gather us back from among the nations,
so we can thank your holy name
and rejoice and praise you.
SAVE US
Save us, O Lord our God.
Save us from the sin that so easily distracts us.
Draw us near to you to spend time with you.
Father God, we want to know you better.
Knowing you comes from you and we desire it.
Praise God, save us, O Lord, from ourselves.
11/10 Romans 12:1
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
TRUE
True worship-serving God by obeying God.
Find time to do the things God encourages you to do.
Remember that thinking it does not make it so.
Doing it is the road to service and serving.
Sacrifice your life to Jesus and for Jesus and you will find it.
