JANUARY 5 – MATTHEW 28:18

01/05          Matthew 28:18

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth

AUTHORITY

Focus your mind, your heart, your life on Jesus. 

Learn to be with Him and grow into His likeness.  

Prayers to Him.  Thoughts to Him.  

Everything you need in life you will find in Jesus. 

He is Lord.  Lord of Creation.  Lord of Salvation.  He is Lord.  

When you belong to Jesus, He is with you always and will never leave you.  

Praise His Holy name.  Jesus is Lord.  

JANUARY 4 – HEBREWS 12:2

01/04          Hebrews 12:2

2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

AUTHOR AND PERFECTER OF OUR FAITH

We begin our journey with Jesus. 

He walks with us, guiding us and disciplining us as needed.  

We are never out of His sight.  

Constantly our teacher, walking with us as we seek to grow in Him.  

Jesus is Lord. 

JANUARY 3 – 1 JOHN 2:1

01/03          1 John 2:1

1 My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous

ADVOCATE

We exist in Him.  Jesus is Lord.  

He cares for us-died on the cross to pay the price of our sin.  
Jesus is God’s everything.  

JANUARY 2 – REVELATION 22:13

01/02          Revelation 22:13

13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” 

ALPHA AND OMEGA

God was not created; He always has been.  

He knows everything.  There is nothing He doesn’t know. 

He loves us and calls us members of His family.  

We are complete in Jesus.  

JANUARY 1 – REVELATION 1:8

01/01          Revelation 1:8

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” 

ALMIGHTY ONE
Always.  Total.  God always was and always is.  

He calls Himself I AM.  Nothing confuses Him or escapes His attention. 

He is complete in Himself and does not need anything or anyone.  

He chooses to love.  He is always with us.  He knows the end from the beginning.  

DECEMBER 31 – PSALM 16:8

12/31          Psalm 16:8

8 I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. 

DO NOT FEAR

We live in a chaotic world.  Fear abounds. 

You can live with strength and courage.

Claim God’s power for your life.

He is always with you and willingly gives you what you need.  

We need courage, peace, and joy.  The Father will give you these in abundance.  

Stand with Jesus.  Serve Him.  Spend time with Him.  Jesus is Lord.  

DECEMBER 30 – PROVERBS 3:1-2

12/30          Proverbs 3:1-2

1 My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. 2 If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. 

REMEMBER

So many things relate to remember.

How do I remember the right things to do?

Read the Bible, God’s Word.  

Spend time with Jesus.  Listen to Him.

Memorize Scripture so that at the moment of trial you remember what to do.  

Today is God’s day, He is in charge and we will rejoice.  

Remember, God has you, this day and everything under control.

Trust Jesus.  Obey God.  Do the next right thing.  

DECEMBER 29 – 2 COR. 12:9-10

12/29          2 Corinthians 12:9-10

9 Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

GRACE

God’s grace-all we need.  Freely given.  Renewed each day.

More than we can ever use.  Grace, grace, God’s grace straight from God.  

He gives us what we need.  Jesus paid the price.  

We serve the king.  He is our Father.  Jesus is Lord.  

DECEMBER 28 – PHILIPPIANS 1:6

12/28          Philippians 1:6

6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. 

WORK

God is active-He is in you.  Filling you with grace and mercy.  
His presence-Your life-Led by the Lord guiding you with His advice.  
Listen.  Jesus is Lord.  Listen.  God is speaking to you.  
Jesus says, “I love you.  I will never leave you.  Follow me.”

DECEMBER 27 – MATTHEW 2:19-33

12/27          Matthew 2:19-23

19 When Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.  20 “Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother back to the land of Israel, because those who were trying to kill the child are dead.”  21 So Joseph got up and returned to the land of Israel with Jesus and his mother.   22 But when he learned that the new ruler of Judea was Herod’s son Archelaus, he was afraid to go there. Then, after being warned in a dream, he left for the region of Galilee. 23 So the family went and lived in a town called Nazareth. This fulfilled what the prophets had said: “He will be called a Nazarene.”

PLAN

God’s plan works.  Find out His plan for you.
It’s always the best plan.  It fits you perfectly.
He will tell you what His plan is for your life.  Ask Him. 
Spend time with Jesus.  He is the way the truth and the life.
