OCT 3 – ROMANS 6:6-8

10/03          Romans 6:6-8

We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.  7 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. 8 And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him.

KNOW
We know Jesus.  We know the Father.  We know His love and power.  We live under His love and power.  He lives in us.  We know He values our life and is always with us and we are always with Him.

OCT 2 – ROMANS 6:4-5

10/02          Romans 6:4-5

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. 5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised to life as he was.

GOD

God knows us.  He created us, and in His creation made us for communion with Himself.  Now in Christ we are reunited with the Father and part of His family.

OCT 1 – ROMANS 6:1-3

10/01          Romans 6:1-3

1 Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? 3 Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?

CHANGE

The Christ life is a changed life.  We now follow the direction of the Holy Spirit seeking to become more like Jesus.  People count with Christ and they count with us.

SEPT 30 – ROMANS 5:21

9/30            Romans 5:21

So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

ALIVE
In Jesus we have life and that life is eternal life in the Family of God.  We are alive in Christ and will never again be separated from God.  Yes, we may fall and we may fail but God will never let us go.  We are alive in the Family of God.

SEPT 29 – ROMANS 5:20

9/29            Romans 5:20

God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.

ENOUGH

God’s grace is abundant and just fits you.  No matter what you have done or how far away you are Jesus is available for you.  Whosoever calls upon the name of Jesus will be saved.  It just fits you.

SEPT 28 – ROMANS 5:18-19

9/28            Romans 5:18-19

Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.

OBEYED

Jesus obeyed God the Father and His act of obedience made life available for us.  While we were yet sinners Jesus died for our sin and made available to us as a free gift new life.  This life is in Jesus Christ and it is life right now in the family of God and lasts forever.

SEPT 27 – ROMANS 5:17

9/27            Romans 5:17

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.

LIFE

In Jesus we have life and that more abundantly.  No longer will we be in bondage to sin.  We will have real life and peace with God.  Jesus is Lord.

SEPT 26 – ROMANS 5:15-16

9/26            Romans 5:15-16

But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.  16 And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins.

RIGHT

We are now right with God in Jesus Christ.  Surrender to the Lord, He will forgive you of your sin, cleanse you from unrighteousness, and bring you into the Family of God.  This is an eternal gift of life and light for living.

SEPT 25 – ROMANS 5:13-14

9/25            Romans 5:13-14

Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break. 14 Still, everyone died—from the time of Adam to the time of Moses—even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come.

NOW

Now Christ has come, the second Adam.  In Jesus Christ we have forgiveness for our sin.  We are saved by the free gift of God in Jesus Christ.  Turn to Jesus.  Let Him give you life.

SEPT 24 – ROMANS 5:12

9/24            Romans 5:12

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

EVERY

Every person born is a sinner.  You are a sinner.  Without Jesus you cannot become a member of the family of God.  Jesus is the only way to the Father.  In Christ and Christ alone is the life that we need to have life like God’s life-eternal life.
