JUNE 18 – COL. 1:9-10

06/18          Colossians 1:9-10

9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

LIFE

Life involves prayers for us from our family, church and friends.

It also involves our focus on Jesus for daily living

And life choices.

We grow by reading God’s Word, obedience and service to others.

A servant develops a life of humility and service.

Emulate Jesus, love one another and serve.

People need you and you need people.

JUNE 17 – 2 PETER 3:18

06/17          2 Peter 3:18

18 Rather, you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

APPLY

We grow by surrender.

We win by the defeat of our will.

Sin is doing our own thing.

Godliness is doing God’s things.

Follow the Lord.

Grow in Christlikeness.

Your life will be graceful

And you will become wise.

Jesus is the Lord.

JUNE 16 – JER. 9:24

06/16          Jeremiah 9:24

24 But those who wish to boast
    should boast in this alone:
that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord
    who demonstrates unfailing love
and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth,
and that I delight in these things.
    I, the Lord, have spoken!

KNOW

Know the Lord.

He is the Creator,

The Sustainer,

Beginning and end of all things.

Jesus is His name.

He came to save us from our sin.

He lowered Himself to our world.

He lived like we live and yet was perfect.

Jesus.

JUNE 15 – PS. 63:1

06/15          Psalm 63:1

1 O God, you are my God;
    I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
    where there is no water.

NOT

This world is not our home.

We are looking for that place where God lives,

Living for the day we are face to face with Jesus.

Life is fast.

Be the change you want so badly to see.

Begin earnestly searching for God,

He rewards those who seek Him.

JUNE 14 – MT. 5:6

06/14          Matthew 5:6

God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
    for they will be satisfied.

JUSTICE

We seek justice but often overlook our errors.

Change, grow and clean up your own backyard,

Before you begin clamoring for justice.

God is just and He will mete out justice.

JUNE 13 – PS. 42:1-2

06/13          Psalm 42:1-2

1 As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God.
2 I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him?

REALITY

The reality is that everything in us yearns to be with Jesus.

This world and the things of this world are passing away.

Love one another.

Love the Lord.

This is real living.

JUNE 12 – LUKE 17:5

06/12          Luke 17:5

5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.”

HOW?

Forgive.

Be faithful.

Praise God.

Develop an attitude of gratitude.

Let Jesus guide you.

JUNE 11 – 1 TIM. 4:7

06/11          1 Timothy 4:7

7 Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.

STOP

Stop being like the world.

Model yourself after Jesus.

Love one another.

Be humble.

Seek to grow in Christlikeness.

JUNE 10 – PROV. 1:5

06/10          Proverbs 1:5

5 Let the wise listen to these proverbs and become even wiser.
Let those with understanding receive guidance

LISTEN

Listen to God.

He speaks through His Word.

He speaks any was He chooses to you but most often through His Word.

Read his Word.

Read the Bible every day.

Write down verses that the Father impresses on your heart.

Remember these verses.

Follow the Lord.

He will tell you how where He wants you to go.

JUNE 9 – LUKE 2:52

06/09          Luke 2:52

52 Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.

WINSOME

People liked Jesus.

He was obedient to His Father, God,

And he genuinely liked people.

He listened, he cared, he grew.

He had a mission and began that work when God said begin.

But He was always obedient to the Father.
