08/14 Philippians 4:13
13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
YES
Life is hard and challenging and often attacks us but when we love Jesus and are submitted to Him He will see us through whatever we face. The key is a relationship with Jesus. Do you have a relationship with Him? If you do He will see you through any difficulty you face. Jesus is Lord.
08/13 James 1:5-8
5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
REAL
Our Lord is real. He is alive and well and He lives in us. When we know that and live with the understanding that He is indeed a part of our life we will live a different kind of life. We cannot love the Lord with our whole heart and still be caught up in the world.
08/12 James 2:24
24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone.
ACT
If we have faith in the Lord, and we believe in Jesus, we will act differently. You must change. All are dead in their trespasses and sin and when you come to Christ He changes you. Love the Lord, love the people you are with and serve with gladness.
08/11 Hebrews 11:6
6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
YOU
You have to make up your mind-Do you believe God? Or not? The Lord is waiting for us to make up our mind. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and He will work actively in your life.
08/10 2 Corinthians 5:7
7 For we live by believing and not by seeing.
SEEING
One day we will stand face to face with Jesus seeing Him bodily but today we have confidence in Him and trust Him by reading His Word, listening to Him and obeying Him. We are faith walking in Christ.
08/09 Proverbs 3:5-6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
SIMPLE
We are called to have a simple, complete trust in the Lord. We cannot explain Him. We often do not understand Him. We always know that He loves us totally and that every thought He has towards us is a thought for good. I obey Him and listen to Him and He always guides me in the right way. Jesus is Lord.
08/08 Luke 1:37
37 For the word of God will never fail.
TRUTH
The truth is that the Word of God is faithful and true and eternal. It will never fail. The Lord God gave it to man and He is eternal. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
08/07 James 2:19-22
19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20 How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? 21 Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete.
WHO
Who believes in a Holy God? Do you or do you listen to the World that does not believe even though it is true they make up ideas about God and propose them as God? Do you or do you bend the knee to Christ submitting your life to Him exchanging your lostness for wisdom, mercy and grace from and all loving God? Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will forgive you of your sin and bring you into His family.
08/06 Ephesians 2:8-9
8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
GIFT
Your salvation is a gift from God. He was looking for you. You were never hunting for Him. His love is amazing and like nothing else you will ever know. Jesus loves you.
08/05 1 Corinthians 2:5
1 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.
WORLD
The World is lost and does not know God. The World does everything in its power to stamp out the things of God. Only God can do those things that give us knowledge of Him and guide us to Him. He is always good and always just- the World is not.
