07/25 John 3:33-35
Those who believe him discover that God is true. 34 For he is sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God’s Spirit is upon him without measure or limit. 35 The Father loves his Son, and he has given him authority over everything.
AUTHORITY
Jesus was given all authority in heaven and on earth. Ask Him to come into your life, to take control of you and give you eternal life. Jesus has that authority to give you life, real life right now. Ask Him and He will do it.
07/24 John 3:31-32
“He has come from above and is greater than anyone else. I am of the earth, and my understanding is limited to the things of earth, but he has come from heaven. 32 He tells what he has seen and heard, but how few believe what he tells them!
BELIEVE
We tend towards making things very hard and complex. That seems to be human. Jesus said He was the way the truth and the life. Do you think He was indeed that? If you believe Him He will save you. Salvation is exchanging our life for God’s life in us. Jesus brings us into the family of God and we are saved forever and ever. Simple. Do it and you will live.
07/23 John 3:27-30
John replied, “God in heaven appoints each person’s work. 28 You yourselves know how plainly I told you that I am not the Messiah. I am here to prepare the way for him — that is all. 29 The bride will go where the bridegroom is. A bridegroom’s friend rejoices with him. I am the bridegroom’s friend, and I am filled with joy at his success. 30 He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less.
WORK
Your work matters and it isn’t judged based on an evaluation against what others do. It is valued based on how well you do what you are called to do. Be yourself. Do what the Lord has called you to do. Praise the Lord.
07/22 John 3:23-26
At this time John the Baptist was baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there and people kept coming to him for baptism. 24 This was before John was put into prison. 25 At that time a certain Jew began an argument with John’s disciples over ceremonial cleansing. 26 John’s disciples came to him and said, “Teacher, the man you met on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you said was the Messiah, is also baptizing people. And everybody is going over there instead of coming here to us.”
CALL
We each have a call as followers of Jesus and members of the family of God. We don’t do our work based on what others are doing but instead it is based on what the Father has called us to do. Do what you can do. Don’t worry about what others do or what the value of what you do is. Fulfill your call and do your work and that is what the Lord will measure in your life.
07/21 John 3:22
Afterward Jesus and his disciples left Jerusalem, but they stayed in Judea for a while and baptized there.
ACTIVITY
Jesus was involved in a lot of religious activity in addition to teaching and traveling the countryside. He taught the disciples. He cared for people. Even as He ministered He knew that His work was moving swiftly to the CROSS. He did that for each one of us, for all of us so that we might have a relationship with the Father. Jesus loves you.
07/20 John 3:19-21
Their judgment is based on this fact: The light from heaven came into the world, but they loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 They hate the light because they want to sin in the darkness. They stay away from the light for fear their sins will be exposed and they will be punished. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light gladly, so everyone can see that they are doing what God wants.”
EVIL
Evil will attempt to sidetrack you. Do what you want it says. But the truth is we must do what the Lord says, bend the knee to the Lord, and follow the Lord before we find real freedom. Freedom isn’t free and you can’t pay the price for it because Jesus paid a price you could not pay to give you a gift you could not earn-eternal life. Jesus will overcome the evil in your life if you will let Him.
07/19 John 3:17-18
God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it. 18 “There is no judgment awaiting those who trust him. But those who do not trust him have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God.
SAVE
Jesus came to save you. He didn’t come to save a mass of folks. He came knowing you. Jesus is hunting you. The Father knew your name from the foundations of all things and His plan was a plan to save each one of us by name as a known entity. Jesus came to save you.
07/18 John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
LOVED
While you were dead in your trespasses and sin Jesus loved you. He hunted for you and if you have not accepted Him as your Lord and Savior Jesus is hunting for you this very moment. Accept Him today as your Lord and Savior and every moment for eternity you will belong to Him.
07/17 John 3:13-15
For only I, the Son of Man, have come to earth and will return to heaven again. 14 And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so I, the Son of Man, must be lifted up on a pole, 15 so that everyone who believes in me will have eternal life.
EVERYONE
Everyone that believes in Jesus will be saved. The critical path is to believe in Jesus. You are part of that everyone so make sure no one questions your faith, believe in the Lord Jesus, that He is the ONE by whom you are saved.
