10/11 Hebrews 2:9-10
9 What we do see is Jesus, who “for a little while was made lower than the angels” and now is “crowned with glory and honor” because he suffered death for us. Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world. 10 And it was only right that God — who made everything and for whom everything was made — should bring his many children into glory. Through the suffering of Jesus, God made him a perfect leader, one fit to bring them into their salvation.
LEADER
Jesus is the leader of all of those that name HIS name as their Lord and Savior. If we aren’t following Jesus we aren’t on the road to God. Jesus is God and He has paid the price for our redemption.

10/10 Hebrews 2:5-8
5 And furthermore, the future world we are talking about will not be controlled by angels. 6 For somewhere in the Scriptures it says, “What is man that you should think of him, and the son of man that you should care for him? 7 For a little while you made him lower than the angels, and you crowned him with glory and honor. 8 You gave him authority over all things.” Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all of this happen.
ALL
Jesus is above, greater than, ALL things. He is the top. He is the Creator and in Him all things exist. Jesus is God’s A to Z. Jesus is Lord.
10/09 Hebrews 2:1-4
1 So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. 2 The message God delivered through angels has always proved true, and the people were punished for every violation of the law and every act of disobedience. 3 What makes us think that we can escape if we are indifferent to this great salvation that was announced by the Lord Jesus himself? It was passed on to us by those who heard him speak, 4 and God verified the message by signs and wonders and various miracles and by giving gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose to do so.
GREAT
We serve a great and wonderful Lord. He loves us beyond our capacity to understand His deep and abiding love. Yet we know His love and we have accepted His love therefore we are to live His love in this world. Do not neglect your fellowship with the Lord, reading His Word and talking with Him. We too quickly forget what we read and so often become tangled up in the world. Serve the Lord with gladness for He loves you.
10/08 Philippians 1:29-30
29 For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. 30 We are in this fight together. You have seen me suffer for him in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of this great struggle.
TOGETHER
We are one in Christ, together in the proclamation and defense of the Gospel. We do this by living under His direction and putting all of our gifts and skills at His disposal. This world is not our home but it is our battlefield. Come Lord Jesus.
10/07 Philippians 1:27-28
27 But whatever happens to me, you must live in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ, as citizens of heaven. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing side by side, fighting together for the Good News. 28 Don’t be intimidated by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.
JESUS
It’s no about me. I may flounder and never accomplish my goal. I am weak and often times unusable. Ah, but when I begin to see the Risen Lord, and understand that it is all about Jesus, my personal success becomes of little importance. That all might see Jesus in me, Lord I surrender all.
10/06 Philippians 1:25-26
25 I am convinced of this, so I will continue with you so that you will grow and experience the joy of your faith. 26 Then when I return to you, you will have even more reason to boast about what Christ Jesus has done for me.
FAITH
Faith is a gift from the Lord. His gift of faith is couple with His joy and equips us for the journey of life in Christ. What great joy we have in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
10/05 Philippians 1:21-24
21 For to me, living is for Christ, and dying is even better. 22 Yet if I live, that means fruitful service for Christ. I really don’t know which is better. 23 I’m torn between two desires: Sometimes I want to live, and sometimes I long to go and be with Christ. That would be far better for me, 24 but it is better for you that I live.
YES
Lord everything with You is YES. Yes I will serve you. Yes I will stay here. Yes I will go. Whatever you want me to do Lord I will do. Use me Lord as you see fit.
10/04 Philippians 1:19-20
19 For I know that as you pray for me and as the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will all turn out for my deliverance. 20 For I live in eager expectation and hope that I will never do anything that causes me shame, but that I will always be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past, and that my life will always honor Christ, whether I live or I die.
PRAYER
Pray for the people in your life. Pray for colleagues. Pray for family. It is important that we pray with the certainty that the Lord is listening and will act. The important thing is that we pray.
10/03 Philippians 1:16-18
16 They preach because they love me, for they know the Lord brought me here to defend the Good News. 17 Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me. 18 But whether or not their motives are pure, the fact remains that the message about Christ is being preached, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice.
JESUS
Preach Jesus with every word and deed. Let Christ have control of you. Spend your spare time with Him. Develop a constancy of purpose in seeking to become more like Jesus.
10/02 Philippians 1:14-15
14 And because of my imprisonment, many of the Christians here have gained confidence and become more bold in telling others about Christ. 15 Some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives.
REAL
When the persecution comes real Christians stand up and take their lumps. Bend your knee and give Jesus you problems. Take up your cross and follow Him. Today the journey begins. Be with Jesus.
