APRIL 18 – WONDERFUL

4/18 Isaiah 25:1-12
1 O LORD, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God. You do such wonderful things! You planned them long ago, and now you have accomplished them. 2 You turn mighty cities into heaps of ruins. Cities with strong walls are turned to rubble. Beautiful palaces in distant lands disappear and will never be rebuilt. 3 Therefore, strong nations will declare your glory; ruthless nations will revere you. 4 But to the poor, O LORD, you are a refuge from the storm. To the needy in distress, you are a shelter from the rain and the heat. For the oppressive acts of ruthless people are like a storm beating against a wall, 5 or like the relentless heat of the desert. But you silence the roar of foreign nations. You cool the land with the shade of a cloud. So the boastful songs of ruthless people are stilled. 6 In Jerusalem, the LORD Almighty will spread a wonderful feast for everyone around the world. It will be a delicious feast of good food, with clear, well-aged wine and choice beef. 7 In that day he will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. 8 He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign LORD will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The LORD has spoken! 9 In that day the people will proclaim, “This is our God. We trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, in whom we trusted. Let us rejoice in the salvation he brings!” 10 For the LORD’s good hand will rest on Jerusalem. Moab will be crushed like trampled straw and left to rot. 11 God will push down Moab’s people as a swimmer pushes down water with his hands. He will end their pride and all their evil works. 12 The high walls of Moab will be demolished and ground to dust.
WONDERFUL
We can call Him wonderful. He stands against all of those things that would destroy us. One day He is coming back for us. He will swallow up death, we will no longer be under its shadow. The Lord is God and He loves us. Today the Lord is your salvation. Let Him have your heart.

APRIL 17 – WONDROUS

4/17 Psalm 22:25-31
I will praise you among all the people; I will fulfill my vows in the presence of those who worship you. 26 The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the LORD will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy. 27 The whole earth will acknowledge the LORD and return to him. People from every nation will bow down before him. 28 For the LORD is king! He rules all the nations. 29 Let the rich of the earth feast and worship. Let all mortals — those born to die — bow down in his presence. 30 Future generations will also serve him. Our children will hear about the wonders of the Lord. 31 His righteous acts will be told to those yet unborn. They will hear about everything he has done.
WONDROUS
Our Lord is a wondrous Savior. He knows the end from the beginning and shepherds us every day of our life. He is focused on our life. Give Him your attention. Let the Lord deal with your life today. He will not neglect you. He will take care of you.

APRIL 16 – HELP

4/16 Psalm 22:12-24
My enemies surround me like a herd of bulls; fierce bulls of Bashan have hemmed me in! 13 Like roaring lions attacking their prey, they come at me with open mouths. 14 My life is poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax, melting within me. 15 My strength has dried up like sunbaked clay. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have laid me in the dust and left me for dead. 16 My enemies surround me like a pack of dogs; an evil gang closes in on me. They have pierced my hands and feet. 17 I can count every bone in my body. My enemies stare at me and gloat. 18 They divide my clothes among themselves and throw dice for my garments. 19 O LORD, do not stay away! You are my strength; come quickly to my aid! 20 Rescue me from a violent death; spare my precious life from these dogs. 21 Snatch me from the lions’ jaws, and from the horns of these wild oxen. 22 Then I will declare the wonder of your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among all your people. 23 Praise the LORD, all you who fear him! Honor him, all you descendants of Jacob! Show him reverence, all you descendants of Israel! 24 For he has not ignored the suffering of the needy. He has not turned and walked away. He has listened to their cries for help.
HELP
The Lord is our help. In good times and bad the Lord is with us. When we are suffering He suffers with us. He will see us through. He is our strength. The Lord God Almighty is in control of our life and of all things. He will not leave nor will He deceive us. Jesus loves us and will stand with us as we journey through each day of our life.

APRIL 15 – UNTIL

4/15 1 Corinthians 15:21-26
21 So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, Adam, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man, Christ. 22 Everyone dies because all of us are related to Adam, the first man. But all who are related to Christ, the other man, will be given new life. 23 But there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised first; then when Christ comes back, all his people will be raised. 24 After that the end will come, when he will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father, having put down all enemies of every kind. 25 For Christ must reign until he humbles all his enemies beneath his feet. 26 And the last enemy to be destroyed is death.
UNTIL
Everything will seem the same UNTIL Jesus returns in judgment. People will scoff at God. Mankind will continue the atrocities against the poor. All of creation will groan. Then one day in the wink of an eye everything will change. Jesus will appear. All will be judged. Christ will hand over His kingdom to the Father. Believe in Jesus and you shall be saved.

APRIL 14 – BELIEVE

4/14 1 Corinthians 15:11-20
11 So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach. The important thing is that you believed what we preached to you. 12 But tell me this — since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead? 13 For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. 14 And if Christ was not raised, then all our preaching is useless, and your trust in God is useless. 15 And we apostles would all be lying about God, for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave, but that can’t be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. 16 If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. 17 And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless, and you are still under condemnation for your sins. 18 In that case, all who have died believing in Christ have perished! 19 And if we have hope in Christ only for this life, we are the most miserable people in the world. 20 But the fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead. He has become the first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again.
BELIEVE
Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you do it will change everything. If you don’t you are to be most pitied of all. Do not fool yourself. When you believe in Jesus Christ it changes everything in your life.

APRIL 13 – GRACE

4/13 1 Corinthians 15:1-10
1 Now let me remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then and still do now, for your faith is built on this wonderful message. 2 And it is this Good News that saves you if you firmly believe it — unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. 3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me — that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, as the Scriptures said. 5 He was seen by Peter and then by the twelve apostles. 6 After that, he was seen by more than five hundred of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died by now. 7 Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. 8 Last of all, I saw him, too, long after the others, as though I had been born at the wrong time. 9 For I am the least of all the apostles, and I am not worthy to be called an apostle after the way I persecuted the church of God. 10 But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favor on me — and not without results. For I have worked harder than all the other apostles, yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace.
GRACE
It is God’s grace that is actively at work in your life. Every day in overwhelming quantities the Lord pours out His grace on us. He loves us, He dotes on us, and our Father desires to hear from us all the time. God has especially favored you this day. Blessed is the name of the Lord.

APRIL 12 – REJOICE

4/12 Psalm 118:13-29
13 You did your best to kill me, O my enemy, but the LORD helped me. 14 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my victory. 15 Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things! 16 The strong right arm of the LORD is raised in triumph. The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things! 17 I will not die, but I will live to tell what the LORD has done. 18 The LORD has punished me severely, but he has not handed me over to death. 19 Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the LORD. 20 Those gates lead to the presence of the LORD, and the godly enter there. 21 I thank you for answering my prayer and saving me! 22 The stone rejected by the builders has now become the cornerstone. 23 This is the LORD’s doing, and it is marvelous to see. 24 This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. 25 Please, LORD, please save us. Please, LORD, please give us success. 26 Bless the one who comes in the name of the LORD. We bless you from the house of the LORD. 27 The LORD is God, shining upon us. Bring forward the sacrifice and put it on the altar. 28 You are my God, and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will exalt you! 29 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
REJOICE
You know the Lord, rejoice. We have a risen Savior and His name is Jesus. We have a loving, powerful Lord. Rejoice for this is the day that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.

APRIL 11 – THANKS

4/11 Psalm 118:1-12
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. 2 Let the congregation of Israel repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” 3 Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” 4 Let all who fear the LORD repeat: “His faithful love endures forever.” 5 In my distress I prayed to the LORD, and the LORD answered me and rescued me. 6 The LORD is for me, so I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? 7 Yes, the LORD is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. 8 It is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in people. 9 It is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in princes. 10 Though hostile nations surrounded me, I destroyed them all in the name of the LORD. 11 Yes, they surrounded and attacked me, but I destroyed them all in the name of the LORD. 12 They swarmed around me like bees; they blazed against me like a roaring flame. But I destroyed them all in the name of the LORD.
THANKS
Stop, give thanks to the Lord today for He is fighting your fights. The Lord is with us and ahead of us as we live our life. Life is struggle but in every struggle the Lord is in the struggle with us. Give thanks to the Lord for He has blessed us exceedingly and abundantly.

APRIL 10 – WITNESSES

4/10 Acts 10:34-43
34 Then Peter replied, “I see very clearly that God doesn’t show partiality. 35 In every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right. 36 I’m sure you have heard about the Good News for the people of Israel — that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. 37 You know what happened all through Judea, beginning in Galilee after John the Baptist began preaching. 38 And no doubt you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with him. 39 “And we apostles are witnesses of all he did throughout Israel and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by crucifying him, 40 but God raised him to life three days later. Then God allowed him to appear, 41 not to the general public, but to us whom God had chosen beforehand to be his witnesses. We were those who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 And he ordered us to preach everywhere and to testify that Jesus is ordained of God to be the judge of all — the living and the dead. 43 He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.”
WITNESSES
We are witnesses to the living Lord Jesus. We have walked with Him, talked with Him been guided by Him and we most of all can testify to His life in us. Jesus is alive and He is alive in me.

APRIL 9 – RISEN

4/9 Luke 24:1-12
1 But very early on Sunday morning the women came to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 They found that the stone covering the entrance had been rolled aside. 3 So they went in, but they couldn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 They were puzzled, trying to think what could have happened to it. Suddenly, two men appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. 5 The women were terrified and bowed low before them. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking in a tomb for someone who is alive? 6 He isn’t here! He has risen from the dead! Don’t you remember what he told you back in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again the third day?” 8 Then they remembered that he had said this. 9 So they rushed back to tell his eleven disciples — and everyone else — what had happened. 10 The women who went to the tomb were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and several others. They told the apostles what had happened, 11 but the story sounded like nonsense, so they didn’t believe it. 12 However, Peter ran to the tomb to look. Stooping, he peered in and saw the empty linen wrappings; then he went home again, wondering what had happened.
RISEN
Jesus has risen. He is alive. His life is intertwined with ours. He lives in those of us who have claimed His name for our forgiveness and salvation. Jesus is God’s everything.
