05/26               2 Timothy 1:10

And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News.

GOOD NEWS

God came looking for us.

On the cross He paid the price for our freedom from sin.

What we cannot do He did.

He is with us unto eternity.

Jesus paid for your freedom from sin and reinstatement into the family of God.

Walk in victory-Jesus paid it all.

We owe Him everything.

MAY 25 – PHIL. 3:12-14

05/25               Philippians 3:12-14

12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.

13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,

14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

FOCUS

Focus on Jesus.

Focus on your call.

Focus on the Word.

Focus on your daily devotional.

Focus, focus, focus because the world is filled with chaos and evil.

We are filled with the Holy Spirit of God and face a daily fight for our direction.

Focus on Jesus, obey Him, spend time with Him, read the Word of God.

Listen, surrender, serve-Jesus loves you.

MAY 24 – PHIL. 2:1-4

05/24               Philippians 2:1-4

1 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?

2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

3 Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

WORK

Work unto the Lord.

Work with others.

Consider and respect the value of others.

Jesus will use you.

MAY 23 – EPH. 4:1-6

05/23               Ephesians 4:1-6

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God.

2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.

5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.

STUDY

Study the Word of God.

Do what He says.

He will guide you in the way you should go.

MAY 22 – 1 COR. 7:17

05/22               1 Corinthians 7:17

Each of you should continue to live in whatever situation the Lord has placed you, and remain as you were when God first called you. This is my rule for all the churches.

We are usable.

The Holy Spirit indwells us and gives us spiritual ability.

Be who you are.

7 Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.

NOTICE

When we help we grow.

When we grow we will be persecuted.

Living among the fellowship of the suffering for Christ will expand our territory of service.

Be, do, surrender and Jesus will empower you to do His work.

Serve the Lord with gladness.

He will walk with you.

05/17               Isaiah 1:17

Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows.

LEARN

The key is we must learn the right things to do.

Spiritual living in this world only comes when we are connected with Jesus.

He Holy Spirit connects us with Jesus and equips us with God’s power.

Spiritual maturity is learned by growing in the knowledge of the Lord.

It is an activity not a thought.

Do the next right thing and you will grow in Christ.
