SEPT. 11 – EXODUS 34:6-7

09/11          Exodus 34:6-7
The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh![a] The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy!  I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations.  I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin.

THE LORD

The Father, a God of compassion and mercy, reveals His character to us.  He isn’t bound by time and He never changes.

SEPT 10 – PROV. 15:25-33

9/10            Proverbs 15:25-33

The LORD tears down the house of the proud, but he sets the widow’s boundary stones in place. 26 The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but gracious words are pure in his sight. 27 The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live.  28 The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.  29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.  30 Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.  31 Whoever heeds life-giving correction will be at home among the wise.  32 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.  33 Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor.

BE

Be real.  Love others.  Love the Lord.

SEPT. 9 – PROV. 18:10-12

9/09            Proverbs 18:10-12

The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.  11 The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale.  12 Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

NAME

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus-just something about that name.  Savior, Lord, Jesus Christ, gives us what we need and cannot earn: salvation.  Trust in the Lord.  Hold fast to your testimony and His name.

SEPT 8 – ROMANS 11:18-20

9/08            Romans 11:18-20

do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I could be grafted in.” 20 Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble.

CAREFUL

For by grace are you saved and not of yourself.  Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for your sin.  He is Lord.  He saved you.

SEPT 7 – MARK 7:20-23

9/07            Mark 7:20-23

He went on:  “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly.  23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”

HEART

The Lord searches the heart of a person.  Turn to Jesus and ask Him to cleanse your heart.  Focus on Jesus, spend time in God’s Word and pray.  HE will cleanse your heart.

SEPT. 6 – DEUT. 8:2-3

9/06            Deuteronomy 8:2-3

Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.  3 He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.

THE LORD
The Lord leads you.  You have to be willing to be led.  Bend your knee to Jesus, every day begin with Him and stay with him until you go to bed that night.  Every day with Jesus is better than the day before.

SEPT 5 – 2 COR. 10:12

9/05            2 Corinthians 10:12

We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.

LOOK

Look to yourself and measure yourself by the Word of God.  Do not compare yourself to others.  You don’t know the journey they are on.  Tend to your own business.  Love one another.

SEPT. 4 – 1 JOHN 2:16

9/04            1 John 2:16

For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

AVOID

Avoid letting the world control you.  Spend time with Jesus and He will equip you to hold fast to your freedom from sin.

SEPT. 3 – JER. 9:23-24

9/03            Jeremiah 9:23-24

This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches,

24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD.

KNOW

Know the Lord.  Spend time in His Word.  Ask Jesus into your heart, and to  forgive you of your sin.  Believe in Him and HE will do it.

SEPT. 2 – PSALM 75:4

9/02            Psalm 75:4

“I warned the proud, ‘Stop your boasting!’ I told the wicked, ‘Don’t raise your fists!

BOASTING

We boast when we are fearful.  We boast when we are unsure.  Stop boasting.  Check your ego with Jesus.  Walk in Him and love your neighbor.
