07/08 Colossians 3:4
And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
FAMILY
We are in the Family of God. Jesus has saved us. We partner together with Him becoming His hands and feet and voice. Jesus is alive in us and when all things are done we will rule together with Him.
07/07 Colossians 3:3
For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
ETERNAL
We are eternal creatures and when we ask Jesus to save us He does for eternity. No one, no thing can separate us from the Jesus. He is our Savior and is always looking out for our best good.
07/06 Colossians 3:1-2
1 Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power. 2 Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth.
TRAVELING
We are traveling through this world, this place is not our home. We have a home not made with hands in heaven where God is. Every thought that the Father has towards His children is a thought for good. Fill your mind with thoughts of heaven and don’t let this world destroy you.
07/05 Colossians 2:20-23
You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the evil powers of this world. So why do you keep on following rules of the world, such as, 21 “Don’t handle, don’t eat, don’t touch.” 22 Such rules are mere human teaching about things that are gone as soon as we use them. 23 These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, humility, and severe bodily discipline. But they have no effect when it comes to conquering a person’s evil thoughts and desires.
FOOLED
We are fooled by the world’s obsession with discipline and devotion, works righteousness- don’t you be fooled. You can know for sure that Jesus is the only way to the Father, salvation is a free gift from God and Jesus is God’s everything. Go to Jesus. Jesus saves.
07/04 Colossians 2:19
But they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For we are joined together in his body by his strong sinews, and we grow only as we get our nourishment and strength from God.
CONNECTED
Connected to Jesus is the key to a vibrant growing Christian life. We are not controlled by the world. Jesus is Lord and Savior and we need to spend time with Him to be and to do what He calls us too. Overwhelmed? Sit down with Jesus and ask Him to fix it. He will. Jesus loves you.
07/03 Colossians 2:18
Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on self-denial. And don’t let anyone say you must worship angels, even though they say they have had visions about this. These people claim to be so humble, but their sinful minds have made them proud.
ONLY
JESUS ONLY. He is God’s everything. No list of things you must do, no other place or entity for you to connect with-JESUS ONLY. He is Lord and if you ask Him He will be Lord of your life. He is all you need, period.
07/02 Colossians 2:16-17
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new-moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17 For these rules were only shadows of the real thing, Christ himself.
JESUS
Jesus loves you. He loves you with an intensity that is not judgmental, not waiting for you to do anything except surrender to Him. You can do that. You can go to Him and present yourself as you are and simply say Lord Jesus here I am please accept me. He will. He isn’t waiting on you to do something for Him. He is waiting on your acceptance and surrender. Ask Jesus into your heart right now if you haven’t. If you have asked Him into your heart, rejoice for Jesus is Lord and He loves you.
07/01 Colossians 2:15
In this way, God disarmed the evil rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross of Christ.
VICTORY
The victory has been won. We are living in victory. We belong to Him. He is our Father and we are His children. Jesus is Lord.
06/30 Colossians 2:13-14
You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record that contained the charges against us. He took it and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross.
YOU
You live and breathe and are in Jesus. He is the substance and foundation of our existence. One day every knee will bow and all will know that Jesus is Lord. You know Him now therefore claim His presence and serve Him.
06/29 Colossians 2:11-12
When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. It was a spiritual procedure — the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to a new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
DIFFERENT
Before we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior we were dead in our trespasses and sin, at war with God and on our own. Life was dark when we surveyed the future. In Jesus we have inclusion in the Family of God, light to live our life and His presence to guide us moment by moment. We are now different for we are alive in Christ and part of the Family of God.
