OCTOBER 15 – SHOUT

10/15               Jeremiah 2:2

2 “Go and shout this message to Jerusalem. This is what the LORD says: “I remember how eager you were to please me as a young bride long ago, how you loved me and followed me even through the barren wilderness.

SHOUT

Shout to all that Jesus loves you.  He saves you.  He builds you up and will never forsake you.  He is the Lord Almighty, Savior and Friend.  Shout, Jesus is Lord.

OCTOBER 14 – CREATOR

10/14               Isaiah 54:5

5 For your Creator will be your husband; the LORD of Heaven’s Armies is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.

CREATOR

He made us.  He loves us.  He seeks our best good.  Sit with Him and learn about Him.  Ask Jesus to give you the wisdom, mercy, grace and understanding that you need to serve him.  He is Lord of all.

OCTOBER 13 – LORD

10/13               Hosea 2:20

20 I will be faithful to you and make you mine, and you will finally know me as the LORD.

LORD

Lord, your care and concern for me are amazing.  I cannot comprehend how One who knows all about me loves me but You do and I am grateful.  Teach me to be faithful.  Teach me how to be usable and useful.

OCTOBER 12 – JUDGES

10/12               Isaiah 1:26

26 Then I will give you good judges again and wise counselors like you used to have. Then Jerusalem will again be called the Home of Justice and the Faithful City.”

JUDGES

Good judges are important in a community.  People need to be treated fairly.  Evil escalates quickly when justice is denied.  We want the Lord involved with us in our society so that our judges will be impartial and committed to being fair.  People need Jesus.

OCTOBER 11 – OBEDIENCE

10/11          Deuteronomy 10:12-13

12 “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. 13 And you must always obey the LORD ’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.

OBEDIENCE

Obedience results in relationship.  If I obey the Lord in doing what He says I will grow in my relationship with Him and get to know Him better every day.  If I do my own thing and trivialize my need for obedience I will not grow and become more like Jesus.  He is Lord.

OCTOBER 10 – OBEY

10/10           Deuteronomy 5:32-33

32 So Moses told the people, “You must be careful to obey all the commands of the LORD your God, following his instructions in every detail. 33 Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy.

OBEY

Obey the Lord.  Follow Him.  Spend time with Him.  Get to know the path you should walk and walk it.  Be a doer of the Word so that you will grow in Christlikeness.

OCTOBER 9 – FOLLOW

10/9            Exodus 19:5

5 Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.

FOLLOW

Follow the Lord.  There is great profit in following Jesus today to guide us and into eternity.  The Lord is on our side and He calls us to be on His side.

OCTOBER 8 – DEATH

10/8            1 Kings 2:3-4

2 “I am going where everyone on earth must someday go. Take courage and be a man. 3 Observe the requirements of the LORD your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go.

DEATH

Death is certain.  Our lives are like grass, here today and gone tomorrow.  We need to make sure that today we get our relationship with the Lord straight.  Am I saved?  Finalize that issue now.  Ask Christ to forgive you of your sin and to save you.  He is faithful to save anyone, everyone who calls upon His name.

OCTOBER 7 – FOCUS

10/7            2 Timothy 2:15

15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.

FOCUS

We are called to focus on the Christian life.  Jesus wants us to grow in His likeness and impact as His representative everyone we meet.  His call is for us to love one another.

OCTOBER 6 – BE

10/6            1 Timothy 4:12

12 Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

BE

Jesus calls us to be an example.  We do that by living as Jesus did.  He loved the Lord with all of his heart and loved His fellow man as He would like to be loved.  Love one another.  Let love fill your life and overflow out of your heart and you will discover that you will be the example you are called to be.
