08/30               Ephesians 4:13-14

This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 

CAREFUL

We live under the control of Jesus.  We are careful who we listen to and discern the truth of what they say therefore we are overcomers and lead mature lives in Jesus.  Praise the Lord and love the brethren. 

08/29               Ephesians 4:11-12 

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 

YOU

You are a member of the body of Christ.  The people you go to church with are there to build up the body and you are there to build up the body.  Study your Bible and pray.  Listen to the Word preached.  Participate in the daily activities of the church.  You will grow. 

08/28               Ephesians 4:7-10 

However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. 8 That is why the Scriptures say, “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.”  9 Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world.  10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself. 

FILLED

We are filled with the Spirit of Christ.  He is here with us.  He is with the Father.  Jesus is alive.  You can count on Him.  Spend time with Him today. 

08/27               Ephesians 4:5-6 

There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. 

HERE

The Lord is here with us.  He is not a God far away and aloof for He is present.  He knows all about you and He is involved in everything you do.  Jesus, Jesus, Jesus the sweetest name I know.  He is God’s everything. 

08/26               Ephesians 4:4 

For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 

JESUS

Jesus is from God and is God.  He is the part of the God-head that has been revealed to us in the flesh.  When you meet Jesus you have met the Father and the Spirit for the three are one.  Jesus is Lord.  He calls you to a relationship that is available to you.  Simply call upon Him.  He who comes to Jesus and believes that He is Lord and by faith lives with that belief is saved.  It is a free gift from God. 

08/25               Ephesians 4:3
Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

UNITY
We want to hear what the Lord says and by our humility walk in unity with the Holy Spirit.  We cannot hold hands with the world and walk with Jesus.  First ask for forgiveness for yourself then forgive those you hold a grudge against.  Forgiveness is a one-way street.  It only requires that you forgive and then you are in a position to walk with the Lord.  Peace and joy to you this very day from the Lord Jesus.  Jesus loves you. 

08/24               Ephesians 4:2 

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 

ALLOWANCE

We need to make allowance for others.  Instead make allowance for ourselves then hold others to a much higher standard.  Don’t do that.  Ask the Lord to forgive you and help you to deal with others kindly and with much forgiveness. 

08/23               Ephesians 4:1 

Therefore, I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 

LEAD

Choose whom you will follow.  Will you follow the world and deny God’s power or will you follow Jesus and believe that the Lord loves you and will give you the power you need for living?  Jesus loves you. 

08/22               Ephesians 3:20-21 

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.  21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

ASK

Remember to ask the Lord for what you need.  The Lord will hear and He will answer and you can be confident that His activity in your life is greater than anything you might think or ask. 

08/21               Ephesians 3:19 

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 

YOU

Whatever you are doing now you can be sure that the Lord is aware of it.  He knows everything about you.  Jesus loves you fully and completely.  You will never plumb the depths of Christ’s love for you.  It is an amazing love that will equip you to stand in the face of any storm.
