OCTOBER 6 – CAREFUL

10/06          2 Peter 2:10

He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling.

CAREFUL
You and I are careful in the way we live and the way we think and act towards God.  Bless the name of the Lord.  Praise the Lord.

OCTOBER 5 – GOD

10/05          2 Peter 2:7-9

But God also rescued Lot out of Sodom because he was a righteous man who was sick of the shameful immorality of the wicked people around him. 8 Yes, Lot was a righteous man who was tormented in his soul by the wickedness he saw and heard day after day. 9 So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.

GOD

God knows all things and He is able to equip us to live our life under His rules.  We don’t have to work out complicated theories nor do we have to achieve a particular certification or education for the Lord has a plan for our life.  Listen to Jesus, follow Him and you will be equipped for right living.

OCTOBER 4 – UNGODLY

10/04          2 Peter 2:4-6

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment. 5 And God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood. 6 Later, God condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and turned them into heaps of ashes. He made them an example of what will happen to ungodly people.

UNGODLY

The ungodly will not stand in the face of God. Their life is slippery slope.  Do not stand with the ungodly.  Stand with Jesus.  He loves you.  He calls us to love as we seek to be loved.

OCTOBER 3 – HEAR

10/03          2 Peter 2:1-3

But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them. In this way, they will bring sudden destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. 3 In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction will not be delayed.

HEAR
Hear the Words of God.  They speak to obedience, faithfulness, humility, service and sacrifice.  Hear the words of man.  The speak to me, me, me; personal fulfilment, harsh thoughts towards their fellow man.  Mankind seeks to be served.  The world stands against God.  Surrender your life to Jesus.

OCTOBER 2 – PRAISE

10/02              Psalm 68:22

The Lord says, “I will bring my enemies down from Bashan; I will bring them up from the depths of the sea. 23 You, my people, will wash your feet in their blood, and even your dogs will get their share!” 24 Your procession has come into view, O God— the procession of my God and King as he goes into the sanctuary. 25 Singers are in front, musicians behind; between them are young women playing tambourines. 26 Praise God, all you people of Israel; praise the , the source of Israel’s life. 27 Look, the little tribe of Benjamin leads the way. Then comes a great throng of rulers from Judah and all the rulers of Zebulun and Naphtali. 28 Summon your might, O God. Display your power, O God, as you have in the past. 29 The kings of the earth are bringing tribute to your Temple in Jerusalem. 30 Rebuke these enemy nations— these wild animals lurking in the reeds, this herd of bulls among the weaker calves. Make them bring bars of silver in humble tribute. Scatter the nations that delight in war. 31 Let Egypt come with gifts of precious metals ; let Ethiopia bring tribute to God. 32 Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth. Sing praises to the Lord. Interlude 33 Sing to the one who rides across the ancient heavens, his mighty voice thundering from the sky. 34 Tell everyone about God’s power. His majesty shines down on Israel; his strength is mighty in the heavens. 35 God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!

PRAISE
Praise the Lord.  Praise Him in every place and in every way.  He is worthy of our praise.  He is worthy of all praise and affirmation for He is a great Lord He is indeed the Lord.  Praise the Lord.  Praise Father Son and Holy Spirit-One.  Praise ye the Lord.

OCTOBER 1 – DAY

10/01              Psalm 68:20-21

Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign rescues us from death. 21 But God will smash the heads of his enemies, crushing the skulls of those who love their guilty ways.

DAY

There is a day coming when every enemy of the Lord will be removed.  But our God is a saving God.  He is seeking to save the Lost every day.  Now is the time of salvation.  Surrender to the Lord and You shall be saved.  Jesus saves.

SEPTEMBER 30 – CARRIES

09/30              Psalm 68:19

Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms. Interlude

CARRIES
If your day was heavy Jesus carried you.  If failure gnawed at your heart Jesus healed you.  Jesus knows your heart and what you are dealing with and He is there for you.  Jesus carries us when we can’t make it.  He is life and light for living.  He is Lord.

SEPTEMBER 29 – HE

09/29              Psalm 68:17-18

Surrounded by unnumbered thousands of chariots, the Lord came from Mount Sinai into his sanctuary. 18 When you ascended to the heights, you led a crowd of captives. You received gifts from the people, even from those who rebelled against you. Now the Lord God will live among us there.

HE

He is the victor and will lead us in His triumph.  On that day every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord of all.  Every one will see Him.  Everyone will confess that Jesus is Lord.  Today you are in Him and He is taking care of you.  Jesus is Lord right now and forever.

SEPTEMBER 28 – JESUS

09/28              Psalm 68:13-16

Even those who lived among the sheepfolds found treasures— doves with wings of silver and feathers of gold. 14 The Almighty scattered the enemy kings like a blowing snowstorm on Mount Zalmon. 15 The mountains of Bashan are majestic, with many peaks stretching high into the sky. 16 Why do you look with envy, O rugged mountains, at Mount Zion, where God has chosen to live, where the Lord himself will live forever?

JESUS

Jesus is Lord and all of the universe will bow down before Him when He returns.  All things will be put before Him and He will be ruler of everything.  Jesus Lord of the Universe, Lord of all for He is God the Lord.

SEPTEMBER 27 – BATTLE

09/27              Psalm 68:11-12

The Lord gives the word, and a great army brings the good news. 12 Enemy kings and their armies flee, while the women of Israel divide the plunder.

BATTLE

The battle in your life belongs to the Lord.  Let Jesus go ahead of you.  He is already the victor.  Let Jesus lead you in the daily grind that you must deal with.  He will fight your battle and you will win.  Jesus knows where you are, what you are facing and what it will take for you to be victorious.  Jesus will deliver you.
