02/10 John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.”
• Jesus offers a peace distinct from worldly calm.
• His peace is rooted in divine assurance and love.
• It surpasses circumstances, calming troubled hearts.
• The promise is personal: “My peace I give you.”
• Comfort comes from abiding in His peace.
“The Peace That Remains”
1
The storm rises on the horizon,
winds howl, waves crash,
the world calls for fear,
but He whispers, “Peace, be still.”
2
Not the peace of quiet streets,
or the absence of war,
but the stillness of the soul
anchored in something greater.
3
It is not found in riches,
not held by power,
not granted by kings,
but given by the King of Kings.
4
The nations rage,
the rulers scheme,
but His throne does not shake,
His kingdom does not fall.
5
He walks through locked doors,
stands among the fearful,
breathes out His Spirit,
and says, “Peace be with you.”
6
The world offers comfort,
temporary, fading,
but His peace is eternal,
woven into the fabric of grace.
7
In suffering, it remains,
in trials, it holds firm,
a peace not dependent
on what the eyes can see.
8
The cross loomed before Him,
pain, betrayal, death—
yet He did not tremble,
for peace is trust in the Father.
9
Come, all who are weary,
lay down the burden of worry,
take up the gift of rest,
for He has overcome.
10
The world may shake,
the night may darken,
but His peace is a light
that no shadow can consume.
