FEB. 12 – COMFORT

02/12                   Isaiah 66:13

“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.”

   •     God likens His comfort to a mother’s nurturing care.

   •     His comfort is intimate, personal, and tender.

   •     The imagery reflects His deep compassion for His children.

   •     God’s comfort is a reminder of His unfailing presence.

   •     His love soothes and restores in all circumstances.

  • God Is Present

“The Comfort of His Hands”

1

The weight is too much,
the road stretches too far,
my strength fades,
yet His hands remain steady.

2

I hear the whispers of fear,
the echoes of failure,
but a still, small voice
calls me by name.

3

He does not promise ease,
nor a path without stones,
but He walks beside me,
never turning away.

4

In the valley of shadows,
when night lingers too long,
He is the lamp,
guiding me home.

5

The world speaks of comfort,
soft pillows, quiet days,
but He gives something deeper—
peace in the midst of storms.

6

Tears may fall,
prayers may tremble,
but He catches every cry,
holds every sorrow.

7

He is not far,
not distant, not silent—
His arms stretch wide,
inviting the weary to rest.

8

The shepherd does not forget His flock,
nor does He leave the lost behind.
He carries the wounded,
binds the broken.

9

When my strength is gone,
when my voice is weak,
He does not ask me to stand alone,
but lifts me in His grace.

10

The night will pass,
the dawn will rise,
but even in darkness,
His comfort is enough.
