“God With Us”
(Inspired by Matthew 1:23)
1
A child is born,
not in a palace, not in wealth,
but in the quiet of night,
beneath a sky filled with wonder.
2
He is more than a child,
more than a name,
more than a promise—
He is God with us.
3
Not distant, not hidden,
not watching from afar,
but stepping into dust and hunger,
walking where we walk.
4
He knows the weight of sorrow,
the sting of rejection,
the frailty of flesh,
yet He remains divine.
5
Hands that formed the world
reach for a mother’s embrace,
eyes that saw the beginning
blink against the dawn.
6
He is not just for kings,
not just for the righteous,
but for the broken, the weary,
for those who thought they were forgotten.
7
The name spoken by angels,
whispered by shepherds,
feared by rulers,
now rests in the hearts of men.
8
God is no longer a shadow,
no longer a distant voice,
but here, present,
walking among us.
9
Emmanuel—
the name that changes everything,
the truth that breaks the silence,
the love that will not leave.
10
He came,
He stayed,
He saves,
and He is with us still.
