“Through the Waters, Through the Fire”
(Inspired by Isaiah 43:2)
1
The waters rise,
the waves press in,
the current pulls hard,
but you are not alone.
2
The river swells,
the path disappears beneath the flood,
the way forward is uncertain,
but I am with you.
3
The flames leap high,
heat presses against your skin,
the fire surrounds you,
but you will not be consumed.
4
You were never promised ease,
never given a life without storms,
but you were given a name,
and I have called you My own.
5
The deep will not take you,
the fire will not destroy you,
the trial will not break you,
for I am the Lord your God.
6
I parted the seas before you,
I walked in the fire beside you,
I stood in the valley behind you,
and I will not leave you now.
7
When you tremble, I am your strength,
when you doubt, I am your certainty,
when you fear, I am your shield,
when you fall, I am your rescue.
8
Your path is not unknown to Me,
your suffering is not unseen,
I hold every moment,
I stand in every storm.
9
So walk forward,
step into the waters,
stand in the fire,
knowing I am near.
10
For I have called you,
I have chosen you,
I have redeemed you,
and you are Mine.
