08/14               John 16:33

33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

OVERCOME

Christ has overcome the world and he will equip you to overcome whatever you face in life.  Jesus wants you to be equipped to do what you were created to do.  Follow Jesus and He will see you through whatever you need to overcome.  

08/13               Deuteronomy 28:7

7 “The LORD will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven! 

PROTECTION

The Lord protects us.  When you are in trouble, cry out to the Lord and He will help you.  Jesus loves you.  

08/12               Matthew 18:18-19

18 “I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven. 19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 

WATCHES

Jesus watches over us.  He protects us.  He equips us and guides us in the way we should go.  He loves us and wants us to love one another.  Jesus is love.  God loves you.  

08/11               John 10:10

10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. 

PERFECT

Jesus’ way is perfect.  He is interested in us individually and gives us great value.  He is looking out for our daily life and our life in toto.  Christ is with us.  He is our life.  

08/10               Luke 10:19

19 Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. 

LOOKS
Jesus looks out for us.  He is alert and knows what is going on and He is always with us.  He will never leave us and His love for us is greater than we can ever imagine.  

08/09               2 Thessalonians 3:3

3 But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 

NEED

We need help in the daily spiritual warfare we wage.  Jesus is Our faithful loving Lord who will strengthen us and guard us from the evil one.  

08/08               1 Corinthians 15:57

57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ. 

VICTORY

We don’t win the victory.  We cannot succeed in our own strength.  Jesus has won the victory and He shares that victory with us.  

08/07               Romans 8:37

37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

THROUGH

Jesus is the only way to the Father.  Jesus is the only way to spiritual maturity.  Jesus is the only way we will be able to stand firm in the face of evil.  Keep your mind and heart focused on Jesus.  He is Lord.  He loves you. 

08/06               Ephesians 6:11-17

11Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 

CLOTHED

Everyday make sure you are properly clothed.  Note above, read it, use it and stand firm against the wiles of the evil one.  Remember stand firm.  Jesus loves you.  

08/05               Isaiah 54:17

17 But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD ; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!

LISTEN

Listen to the Lord speak.  He is talking to you.  His guidance is powerful and is available to you, the ordinary Christian.  God uses weak people and I am the weakest.  Dear Lord use me and fill me up to overflowing with your Holy Spirit.  I need your mercy and grace.
