08/04               1 Peter 5:8-9

8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. 

CALLED

We are called people.  We are called to study God’s Word so that we might grow in spiritual maturity.  We are called to apply God’s Word and one way we apply it is to always be alert to the schemes of the devil.  He wants to devour you and set aside your testimony.  Everyone is suffering.  Let’s get off our pity pots, read God’s Word, grow and be strong in focusing on Jesus so that we can withstand the schemes of the devil.  Jesus loves you.  

08/03               2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. 

HUMBLE

We depend upon the Lord Jesus and upon His might.  We cannot fight spiritual battles in our own strength.  There is a spiritual war going on all around us.  The minions of the devil are seeking someone to destroy and that is you and me.  Jesus gives us the same weapons he had to wage spiritual warfare.  We can claim His ownership and in the name of the Lord rebuke the evil.  The Lord rebukes you devil, evil thoughts, and any other evil spiritual being.  Jesus is Lord.  

08/02               1 John 4:4

4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 

SURE

We have a sure and certain relationship with the Lord.  He vows that we do.  End of conversation.  We do. 

08/01               James 4:7

7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 

WORD

Read God’s Word.  Remember it.  His Word stands guard over your heart with great power.  Thus saith the Lord ends the argument with the devil.  The Lord rebuke you evil spirit.  Done.  

07/31          Acts 15:11

11 We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.” 

ONE-WAY

Jesus is the only way to the Father.  There is no other way. 

07/30          Romans 11:6

6 And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved. 

SALVATION

Jesus offers us for free forgiveness of our sin and becoming a part of the family of God.  He does this for us and He will never ever leave us.  You do not have to fear death.  This is a great victory by the Lord over death and the grave.  

07/29          Romans 6:14

14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace. 

FREE

You are free in Christ.  You are no longer a slave.  The Lord’s richest blessing is Jesus.  

07/28          Titus 2:11

11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 

MYSTERY

The grace of God is given to us in Jesus Christ.  He provided forgiveness for us by dying and shedding His blood for, by His blood we are forgiven.  Jesus is God’s everything.  There is no other way to the Father except in Jesus Christ.  

07/27          2 Corinthians 8:7

7 Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us —I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving. 

GIVING

Jesus calls us to give.  We give of ourselves, our money, our time and our abilities.  Giving is critical for spiritual growth.  When we give it lets the Lord give to us.  We can never out give the Lord.  People need you to show them the way of Christ centered living therefore be a cheerful, over and above giver.  

07/26          James 4:6

6 And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 

GRACE
Grace is God giving us what we need and cannot earn.  He tells us do not be afraid because He is our Lord and our Rock and He will take care of us.  Humble yourself unto the Lord and He will help you.
