MAR 28 – MARK 14:12-26

03/28          Mark 14:12-26

12 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” 13 So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. 14 Say to the owner of the house he enters, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’  15 He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.” 16 The disciples left, went into the city and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. 17 When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve.18 While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me.” 19 They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, “Surely you don’t mean me?”  20 “It is one of the Twelve,” he replied, “one who dips bread into the bowl with me.  21 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”  22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take it; this is my body.”  23 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24 “This is my blood of thecovenant, which is poured out for many,” he said to them.  25 “Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”  26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

ALL

All who were there saw what He did and heard what He said.  He was to be our substitute and pay the price for our sin.  The just for the unjust.  Christ is our life.  In Him is the way we need to walk.  Jesus is Lord.

MAR 27 – LUKE 21:35-38

03/27          Luke 21:35-38

35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.  36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”  37 Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives, 38 and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.

HEAR

Hear Jesus as He calls to us.  Come you who are heavy laden.  Come and let me minister to your heartaches and I will share your burdens and relieve your heart.  I love you.

MAR 26 – 1 JOHN 1:7

03/26          1 John 1:7

7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

FATHER

We learn how to fellowship with the Father whom we cannot see by building relationships in the church and with the people we come into contact with.  Christ died for us while we were yet sinners and He calls us to love one another.  Love those you are with.

MAR 25 – ROMANS 8:32

03/25          Romans 8:32

32 Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

DID

Jesus did for us what we could not do for ourselves.  His perfect life was sacrificed for us on the cross.  This was His plan before we were here.  Christ is Lord.  He is Lord over everything.

MAR 24 – JOHN 12:27-36

03/24          John 12:27-36

27 “Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray, ‘Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came! 28 Father, bring glory to your name.” Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying, “I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again.” 29When the crowd heard the voice, some thought it was thunder, while others declared an angel had spoken to him. 30 Then Jesus told them, “The voice was for your benefit, not mine. 31 The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out. 32 And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.” 33 He said this to indicate how he was going to die. 34 The crowd responded, “We understood from Scripture that the Messiah would live forever. How can you say the Son of Man will die? Just who is this Son of Man, anyway?” 35 Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going. 36 Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light.” After saying these things, Jesus went away and was hidden from them.

WILLING

Jesus was willing to die for the forgiveness of our sin.  He knew what was going to happen and willingly walked to His death so that we might have forgiveness for our sin and new life in Him-Jesus Christ the Lord.

MAR 23 – ROMANS 8:31

03/23          Romans 8:31

31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

OUR
Our God is an amazing God.  He loves us.  Saves us.  Empowers us.  Waits for us to call upon Him.  God is good.  All the time.

MAR 22 – JOHN 12:12-15

03/22          John 12:12-15

12 The next day, the news that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem swept through the city. A large crowd of Passover visitors 13 took palm branches and went down the road to meet him. They shouted, “Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the LORD ! Hail to the King of Israel!” 14 Jesus found a young donkey and rode on it, fulfilling the prophecy that said: 15 “Don’t be afraid, people of Jerusalem. Look, your King is coming, riding on a donkey’s colt.”

IF

If you know Jesus, you will praise Him.  He is worthy of all praise and honor and glory.  Praise ye the Lord Jesus Christ.

MAR 21 – LUKE 19:35-40

03/21          Luke 19:35-40

35 So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on. 36 As he rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of him. 37 When he reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of his followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen. 38 “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the LORD ! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!” 39 But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!” 40 He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”

PRAISE

Praise the Lord Jesus with every breath we have.  He is the only true God.  Praise His name.  Praise Him for His great love and care for us.  Jesus is the Lord God Almighty.

MAR 20 – PSALM 119:11

03/20          Psalm 119:11

11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

HIDE

Hide God’s Word in our heart.  Life is hard enough when we are energized by the Lord and without His Word we have no energy.

MAR 19 – EZEKIEL 36:26-27

03/19          Ezekiel 36:26-27

26 And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

Exiled
Ezekiel passes on harsh words to the exiled people of Israel.  They profaned the name of God throughout all the Earth and His frustration shows.  God promises to advance His mission Himself in Jesus Christ.  Even after the resurrection of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit God’s people, those who by faith have accepted Jesus, are slow to follow Him.  People need the Lord.  Follow Jesus.
