Today's Good News

FEB 07 – PSALM 5:11

02/07          Psalm 5:11

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy. 12 For you bless the godly, O LORD ; you surround them with your shield of love.

REJOICE

We can rejoice every day for our Lord Jesus lives.  He lives forever.  All that He does is right.  Jesus said He and the Father are One and indeed He is the mighty God worthy of all praise and honor and He loves us.

FEB 06 – PSALM 5:9-10

02/06          Psalm 5:9-10

My enemies cannot speak a truthful word. Their deepest desire is to destroy others. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with flattery. 10 O God, declare them guilty. Let them be caught in their own traps. Drive them away because of their many sins, for they have rebelled against you.

REBELLED

It is easy to see who has rebelled against God.  They ignore His commandments and destroy the value of people.  Everyone is fair game for destruction to them.  Tragically, even though they mistreatment many, they will not escape judgment from the Lord.  God’s way is perfect.  Man’s way is destruction.

FEB 05 – PSALM 5:8

02/05          Psalm 5:8

Lead me in the right path, O LORD, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.

DESPERATE
Lord I am desperate for you to lead me in the Godly path.  Your way O Lord is the right way and I will perish on my own.

FEB 04 – PSALM 5:7

02/04          Psalm 5:7

Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe.

HOLY

Our God is a Holy God, and so unlike us.  His ways are amazing and always perfect.  He loves us with a perfect love that is very different than anything we can imagine.  Our God is worthy of all our praise, our awe, our respect our fear for He is God and knows all things from the end to the beginning.  We don’t.

FEB 03 – PSALM 5:4-6

02/03          Psalm 5:4-6

O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness; you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked. 5 Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for you hate all who do evil.  6 You will destroy those who tell lies. The LORD detests murderers and deceivers.

SIN

It’s simple, The Lord God Almighty hates sin.  He is at war with those committed to sinning.  Keep short accounts with the Lord.  Confess your sin now, while you remember it, and repent of your sin and change your ways.  Pride is indeed a sin.  Be careful.  Bend your knee to the Father and confess your sin to Him.

FEB 2 – PSALM 5:3

02/02          Psalm 5:3

Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.

PRAY!

The Lord God Almighty is here with us.  He is waiting for us to get settled and give Him our full attention.  Begin with praise, our Lord is worthy of all our praise.  Our praise will lead us into repentance, Lord forgive me and list those things you need to erase and change your ways.  We are sinful people and desperately need the Lord’s cleansing.  As you listen to the Father and the Lord Jesus, give Them time to respond.  The Holy Spirit will move you to an awareness of their communication and you will be able to begin the process of asking them about your needs and other’s needs.  Pray to the Lord with confidence knowing He will answer your prayer requests.  And then before you leave His presence yield your heart, your mind and soul to Him with commitment to do His will today, all day.  PRAY!

TODAY

Today, cry out to the Lord in your need.  He will hear you.  He will answer you.  We need the Lord.  Cry out to Him.

JAN 31 – PSALM 4:5-8

01/31          Psalm 4:5-8

Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the LORD . 6Many people say, “Who will show us better times?” Let your face smile on us, LORD .  7 You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. 8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

GIFT

The Lord gifts His children, His family, peace.  It is real and affects us every moment.  In Christ we discover His gift of peace.  Praise the Lord and thank Him for His peace.  Jesus is Lord.

You can be sure of this: The LORD set apart the godly for himself. The LORD will answer when I call to him.  4 Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude

HOLY

Ask Jesus and He will give you life and bring you into the family of God.  When you are in God’s family, He has set you apart for Himself.  That is He God has made you Holy in Jesus Christ.  Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty and we belong to Him.
